Here's a nice little place in Hastings, right at the Trent-Severn, for a good cup of coffee and a sandwich. I had a toasted western, full of smokey ham and onion - so good! 
They make pizza here from scratch also, and sweet cinnamon buns, and excellent butter tarts, altho they are not on the Butter Tart Trail. 
It's a casual place, very friendly, and the washroom is handicap accessible. Park off the bridge, there is no designated parking for the Bridgewater Cafe.

Great food and prices! One of the best values for breakfast I’ve ever had and the coffee was very good

Stopped in for a coffee and a snack today during a bike ride around Rice Lake. 
The lady that served us was friendly and the coffee and food were very good. 
Not a fancy place, but the location is great, and who really needs fancy anyway?
