I credit Brighton with saving my life..very literally. Two days after checking in I experienced a life threatening pulmonary embolism that, because of the medical staff at Brighton, I survived. Other treatment centers may offer medical staff on site, but I believe that because the staff genuinely care about the welfare of the residents, not just 'doing their job', I was able to be taken to the hospital in time to prevent permanent damage or very likely death. Had I been home, or at a facility without the experience and awareness of Brighton, I have been told by doctors that I would very likely have died. Brighton also, and just as literally, saved my life by teaching me how to live sober. Drying out can be done at any detox center, but learning how to change your patterns and implement healthy coping skills and thought processes in order to STAY sober, takes having access to the best therapist and staff to teach you. At Brighton you get daily therapist led groups teaching Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as an amazingTrauma, Grief and Loss group. 12 step programs are a great tool to help support sobriety, but using Brighton's dual diagnosis and behavioral therapies has given me many more tools to access when staying sober gets hard. One last note, as great as the program is at Brighton, it is only that way because the people who work there are amazing. I felt genuinely cared about and like I was the reason they were all there, not like I was just another 'client' at their job. This was true of everyone from the director of the program, all the way through to the cleaning staff. Every day they would come in and say how coming to work was the best part of their day, and you could tell that it really was. Many of the staff working there are in recovery themselves, so they understand your vulnerability and need for a caring supportive environment as you heal and work to change your life. Today I am 153 days sober, and am grateful to Brighton every single day.

I cannot say enough good about Brighton. They saved my life. The staff are the best at what they do. They have been there and understand everything their clients are going through. I entered voluntarily but that still doesn't make it easy. The staff here made me feel at home and cared for the first day. If you truly want help and to change your life for the better, this is the place you want to start.

Brighton has been amazing. They are respectful and very compassionate. The therapists, life technicians, and staff were all friendly. They would even come in on days off to handle our cases and provide extra therapy when circumstances were difficult and required extra care. This place is amazing!

Going to Brighton was such a great experience!! Everybody working there seems to genuinely care about the patient’s well-being and recovery. The 2-3x weekly therapy, daily group sessions, yoga, outside AA/NA meetings, and recreation therapy all really strongly helped my recovery. The staff treat you as friends that are there to help, which really helped me feel comfortable. The campus was always clean and kept up well, food was delicious, and I appreciated having private rooms. If you’re considering coming here I highly recommend it!

My experience at Brighton was incredible, this place literally saved my life. If you or someone you love struggles with addiction, they will do a great job at helping them understand and overcome it. The best part is they dig in deep and help you process all the things that helped create the addiction to begin with. Highly recommended.
