The calzone was tasty but the most annoying thing that ruins a calzone is when you get it and one topping is piled on one side and the other piled on the other. I want to bite into it and get all the topping in one bite. Very frustrating. Also the bottom was over cooked : We ordered 3 calzones.
First time ordering from here and it was very good. Pizza are thing and crunchy. The kids meal is a excellent option. Small cheese pizza , chicken tender and Fries. Kids love it. I will be ordering more from here.Recommended dishes
I was super excited to order food from Bro’s Dough today but after having it I feel pretty sick and let down. We ordered a Bro’s special pizza , Chopped Melt, Sweet potato wedges crispy and garlic bread. The food was ridiculously greasy and under seasoned. Especially for it to have been as slow as it was when I ordered/picked up. I ordered sweet potato wedges well done and ended up with overly burnt fries? The pizza dough was undercooked beneath the toppings and barely had cheese or sauce. The ranch and blue cheese had no flavour. We just ate the only thing that was actually delicious which was the garlic bread and marinara. I added pictures to show proof of what I’m saying, maybe it was bad day for them based off their reviews but I’m bummed.
Finally found a hidden pizza gem in greater Hartford. It's all about the crust! After working in New Haven for 10 years and a pizzaholic, I've learned what good crust tastes like. Bro's has been on my radar but hadn't got there yet, then the Polish Pizziola Gavone visited and I knew I had to try it. I'll be back! Picture is the margherita with spinach.
I Only get pizza from one place! That’s here at Bro’s Dough!!! Food is delicious, very fair prices, not overcharged prices like other places, I won’t say portions are very good as you can see in the pic perfect temp on the pizza, fried dough was nice and soft, tasty fries were good! Toppings were full and fantastic, they’re not stingy when adding toppings to their pizzas! A thank you to all who made my order today!!! THANKS!!!! and Happy Holidays!!
Heard a lot of good things about this pizza place so decided to try it out. I ordered a large cheese pizza and a chopped cheese melt. They either gave me the wrong sandwich or don’t know what a chopped cheese is. My sandwich was more of a pasta on garlic bread. My pizza was so greasy the crust was soggy. Won’t be going back again.
A solid black owned pizza joint that has become our go to pizza spot. Love the variety of the menu, from the chooses of wings, pizza, and sandwiches. My favs are the Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Blonde pizza. I also love the stuffed bread, it’s pretty much a stacked Stromboli with whatever toppings you would like. Definitely a must try in the Hartford area.
I don’t get the negative reviews here. I got a large cheese pizza which is my litmus test for any decent pizzeria and boy was it good. I live in Wethersfield and there is nothing quality-wise that even approaches this. True NY style, good sauce to cheese ratio and perfect thinness. If I had one criticism it would be I wish the crust was a little more airy/chewy. In NY this would be a 4/5 but here this is a diamond in the rough and I highly suggest it. Maybe a little bit more like a Jersey boardwalk slice. I cannot speak on the sides and salads etc. but if you are craving a bit of NY in pizza form these cats will deliver for you. I will be back and I’m glad it’s so close to my place.
Tried this Pizza shop today and was disappointed. When putting my order in, I was told due to inflation, the prizes on the menu are outdated. I thought ok that’s honest and payed for the raised price. As I was ordering I had asked for the buffalo sauce for the wings to be placed on the side which is less of a hassle when it’s being prepared. The cashier shouted out to the cook in the back to make sure to put the buffalo sauce on the side, however the sauce was mixed in the wings. I also ordered sweet potato fries and it was not added in the bag. The Margherita pizza was way salty. I really try to support our POC businesses but was disappointed by todays service. If the owner is reading this, please take this review as constructive feedback for your business. As a customer, I too struggle with the inflation costs but support our communities when I can. But I will not pay for poor quality service.
Wasn’t awful but definitely not what I expected with all the great reviews. I ordered a small pizza with green peppers, ricotta and hamburger. I received a small pizza with green peppers, ricotta and onions… no hamburger and onions that I didn’t ask for. Pizza tasted okay. Ordered mozzarella sticks and 4 out of the 6 were pretty much hollow. Wings were also cold. Maybe it was an off night and I ordered at a bad time. Next time I’ll try again earlier in the day.
