The older women who works here is super sweet and she makes the food with love. She makes the food right in front of you. If you are in a rush to get food, this may not be the place for you. The order takes about 20 minutes. You can place an order on the phone. I ordered 2 chicken platters. 3 pieces of chicken and a lot of fries. The chicken here is the best in the area without including big franchises. My only regret was not getting the 8 piece instead of the platter. You get more chicken.

TLDR: food is good and fresh, value is good, service slow and cleanliness poor.  A big point I’ll give to this restaurant is that I saw our food being made and although it took over half an hour for my wings to be ready I have confidence they were made fresh and they tasted good.  This is fried chicken that is made without a lot of breading so it isn’t for everybody but I liked the style.  Also to mention that the wings and fries were very reasonably priced where it felt like a steal.  The cleanliness of this establishment isn’t inspiring with the fries in the fridge on open display and the tables unkempt although the hand sanitizer at the entrance is nice.

The place is owned by a lady named Sylvia and when I tell you the fried chicken is the bomb is the bomb like it's juicy crispy made the way that you wanted you don't even have to need to add hot sauce it's just that goodFood: 5/5

I have been eating here for over 20 years and it will always and forever be my favorite chicken and fries. Sylvia is always welcoming with a smile and great service. Her son in law has done the same. The hours are good, after hours available. For those who go out and want to eat something before going home GO TO BROASTERANT. 5/5 recommend.  Parking: You park on the street and it’s busy, not much parking at all; therefore, making it difficult to park.

Summary: For the price and quality, Broasterant may serve the best fried chicken in the Hartford area. The fried chicken is consistently juicy and seasoned perfectly. The chicken plate is also accompanied by a mountain of french fries and dinner roll. The owner is very friendly and the service is excellent.  Must Try: Fried chicken plate or any other size. Also recommended: Shrimp and fries plate. Avoid: N/A   - Great, worth a detour

I came to get some chicken that my family raved about.  The service caused me to turn around after waiting over 30 minutes.  I waited as the crowd increased and they made fresh chicken.  They handed someone who came in after some fresh chicken but after waiting 30 minutes they opened the container to give me the chicken that was sitting.  After waiting so long I asked if I could too have it fresh.  The elderly lady told me I caused her too much trouble and next time she won’t serve me.  After sitting for 30 minutes this service wasn’t worth it.  If you value service this ain’t it!

This place is amazing, the chicken is cook perfect and looks beautiful and the taste is awesome. I would give it a try , service was good and everything is cook in front of you.. nothing was greasy

I ordered two chicken plates.  It comes with 3 pieces of chicken Two breasts and one wing white meat or One Thigh, one breast, and one drumstick dark meat.  You also get a dinner roll along with French fries.  The chicken tastes better than KFC, Popeyes, or Raising Caines.  Parking is limited so plan carefully and call ahead to avoid a long wait 30 minutes or more.
