My friend and I were hunting for a breakfast place we hadn't hit yet and found this place. It's small, clean, staffed with friendly folks, and whoever is cooking did a bang up job. The food was incredible and had healthy portions. I asked for soft scrambled eggs and they did it. Most times I am not so lucky. My friend loved her skillet. The pancakes were thick and fluffy. All praise for this place, no cons. We are excited for a return visit and other future visits as we make our way through the menu.
Great breakfast place in Hurst, friendly smiles from all staff, got our food pretty quick Pancakes were fluffy, bacon not over cooked, sausage links were cooked perfect. The syrup for the pancakes comes warm in a bottle!!! Lariza our waitress did a great job with suggestions and kept our drinks topped off I liked the large mug of good coffee that didn’t need to keep gettin refilled and screwing up the mix The table next to us had 3 po po, that’s always a good sign because they know where all the local good spots are
Brookside Cafe. Awesome service, delicious food. If you're old enough to remember the Andy Griffith show? This is the kind of place you'd expect Aunt Bea to cook at, and Andy and Barney to share a slice of pie and mug of coffee. Has a wholesome small town vibe. Parking: Private lot. Usually full because they are that good.
Had a very good morning, this place is awesome. Very clean, greeted as we came through the door. Service was great our server was very attentive and the food was . Everything was good even the coffee was good lol. We'll definitely be back, if your in the area give them a try pretty positive you will be a repeat customer.
First time visit: Greeted immediately upon entering. I was able to choose where I sat. Pretty empty when I first got there but many people arrived afterward. Steven the server was really nice and had a good sense of humor. My food came out quickly. The flavors were great. I ordered the steak omelet which came with 2 buttemilk pancakes. Every thing was fresh. The salsa that was on the side taste housemade but it may not have been. So delicious. The receipts had a QR code to pay but I couldn't get it to work. The building didn't look like much from the outside but glad I gave it a try. Will be returning when I'm in town again.
Think, first watch quality great foodwith local diner prices. Great brunch option. They have a vast list of specialty waffles that were delicious. The bacon was crispy and the eggs the correct temperature. They had short staff signs but honestly the service was great. In the restaurant the ambiance was a bit overwhelming with different signs hard to see what is what. They had good lighting and clean bathrooms.
My girlfriend and I are on a mini trip to Ft. Worth. We used Groupon for breakfast and picked this cafe with a $25 for $18 discount. I always check Google reviews for star rating and the amount of ratings to help me decide. This little "mom & pop" style cafe didn't disappoint. The outside looks old, not in a bad way, and welcoming. The inside environment was very friendly with a wide range of ages but mostly older generations. Our server's name was Jenny. She was extremely helpful, very friendly, and very quick to make sure we had everything we needed. My girl got a regular coffee and I got a latte. Both were good but the latte could have been a little better It was a little on the light side. I ordered a "Brookside Scramble with a biscuit" Added jalapenos. My girlfriend ordered the "Two Egg Breakfast" with medium eggs and she also ordered a Belgium Waffle. The scramble was amazing, the two eggs Over medium was amazing and the Belgium Waffle could have been better. We both really loved this place and highly recommend for a great low key breakfast spot.
This place is so good!! A hidden treasure. Bare bones, hole in the wall kind of place, My favorite!!Coffee is served in huge mugs and is really good. Portions are big so you don't leave hungry. The server was awesome too. Yes it's worth the try!
The pumpkin pancakes were delicious! Coffee was luke warm, bacon was cold. Atmosphere was pleasant and friendly. I wouldn't rush back, but it's a cute little spot.Food: 3/5
Food was delicious, I love the cozy atmosphere. Coffee Morgan really took care of me ! She was awesome! I would definitely come back !
