First time here and was surprised on the flavor. I had the chefs special that came with a rainbow roll, shrimp killer roll and chimichang. Chimichang was not for me but had good was not horrible.  The Daikin roll was good and tasted fresh. Yellow tail hand roll is a must get. Red dragon flavor was a hit as well. My wife had the chicken katsu and the breading was light and delicious. The pork gyoza is a must get for a starter .  So when we are back up I. The KC area this is a must come back to.

Awesome fresh sushi! Couldn't recommend enough the food alone speaks for this place. Service was great never had to ask for anything. Left my card there and I live over half an hour away so they mailed it to me. Awesome people 10 out of 10Food: 5/5

We decided to try a new to us sushi place today and we were not disappointed!! Brookside Sushi was awesome! I loved the variety of rolls. We tried The Brookside roll, Mango Ceviche roll and the Princess Leia roll  Great atmosphere and the staff were so nice. We will definitely be back!

This place isn't just your average sushi spot. This "hole in the wall" delivers good atmosphere and amazing sushi. The head chef is all smiles and you can tell that this is more than a job for all that work here. Would recommend over and over again 10/10!Food: 5/5

Recommend by locals and was super excited to try. Quaint restaurant and friendly service. Food was good but was disappointed in crab salad it had very little crab and alot of crunchy filler. The food presentation was nice and it tasted good. However, I will probably not go back because of the gnat problem from the plants. We sat at one table & then moved thinking it would be better at another but it wasn’t. My husband and I were swatting them & trying to kill them through out our meal. It was frustrating for us to enjoy our food as well as our time together.

My favorite sushi place in KC! Great selection, great prices / deals, always tastes super fresh. It’s a cozy spot to dine in at too. Only negative is they sometimes don’t respond to pickup orders :/ it’s hit or miss if I’ll be able to place an order either via text and/or calling in. Wish they had a better system in place for that specifically.

Great price, food and service! Love their sushi with hot sake!  A must to have mini sukiyaki if you are a soup lover :  A nice happy hour on weekend from 2-5 pm. And if you want to order take out instead of phone call, then try to do via text chat via google map chat!

Tried Brookside Sushi yesterday and loved it.  The sushi was fresh, and the service friendly.  Had the calamari, the red dragon roll, the shrimp killer roll, the Tum Katsu and a glass of Chardonnay. #eatlikealadyshould
