This office is horrible they dont do there job and your the one who has to suffer (ie. No food for a month). I've lived in other counties and had no problems. Some state official really needs to investigate this place.

I'm only going to say nice things about this place because they give us services in anyone that complains about anything doesn't deserve that there are a lot more less fortunate people that can't figure out even how to get there because they have a agoraphobia so bad so they don't get the services they need or people that are in wheelchairs and can't get around cuz they're alone you got to think about others before you say selfish things at the hand that's feeding you

My mother wanted to Department of Social Services this morning and let me tell you. Now! my mother's a type of person who greets you good morning good evening good afternoon no matter who you are she really believes in treating people the way she want to be treated. I don't care if you're disrespectful to her she still going to treat you with respect. She's the type of person if you need a place to live she's going to invite you into her home and feed you. I have seen my mom do so much selfless things for so many people and the first thing come out her mouth is don't tell no body, cause she's doing it from the heart or you don't owe me anything So! when she went down to DSS for help that worker for no reason was not kind to her and she still didn't get angry she ain't get upset she just chucked it up and said okay I'll bring you the information back with that being said just because you in that type of work that don't give you the right to treat people any way you want to treat them because you think you have that power. Workers at DSS needs a some kind of course to teach them Respect and how to treat people they need training. I understand that sometimes people do go in there being disrespectful and rude ok now I can understand, but what about the ones that aren't. Listen that's my mother and she didn't deserve that. She's not that mean spirited person. And even when my mother left she still didn't have not one bad thing to say about that worker she just said I hope she have a blessed day. Broome County need to get it together.

These social workers, most of them are great. One guy thinks he is a mini god though and I hated dealing with him.He acted as if the money was coming out of his pocket !
