Quintessential New England town with a great New England country store and others around it. A great stop along the way and worth a day trip for sure.

Our cousin, a life-long resident of Chepachet, has been a regular shopper at the store for years, and has written checks for many expensive expenditures.  Last time she visited the shop, her check for a $25 Brown & Hopkins Gift Certificate was refused.  We can understand why an out-of-town check might be refused, but for a life-long Senior Citizen check to be denied an  in-store gift certificate, after she has been such a dependable long-term mainstay customer for so many years, is not acceptable.  There is technology now easily available to determine if any check is a good check before it is accepted by the merchant.

This is a wonderful place. It's historic and quaint. It's beautifully decorated, especially for the holidays. They sell many hand made items, candles, maple syrup and other food items. They even have an old fasioned candy counter.

The oldest continuously operated general store in the Country! Everyone should take the opportunity to visit this Gem! Candy counter for the kids, home-made fudge, Clothing, antques, coffee ,lots to see on 2 floors!

Aside from having so much history behind it, this olace is absolutely adorable!!! There's so much to look at, and there's so many things offered! From old-time candies to home deco, from clothing to some furniture. Definitely a place you NEED to visit if you're into that whole cozy-feeling, antique store. I'll be back for sure!!
