From K.I. it's closer than Kountry Korner in Gwinn by more than two miles, an important thing to know if you're in need of gas and not sure if you'd make the trip. They have a better price point than Shoppette for food. Not nearly as big a selection but they sell great meats and stuffs from their deli too. Fresh Little Caesar size pizzas that you can take and bake like Papa Murphy's. 
Did I mention Ice Cream? Hand scooped? The staff is always friendly and down to earth. Nothing like a little small town charm. 
It makes a great little Sunday cruise if you want to get out of the house for a little while. Go get a soda, some Ice Cream and while you're at it... grab some beautiful steaks for dinner tonight. 
Well worth the drive for me in both moments and money.
