Easy hook-up procedure simply fill out form online and done. Easy disconnect procedure simply fill out the form online and done. Auto payments made it so i didn't have to do anything but review my invoice (email) when created. Never had a power outage in 9 months of use. Two things i did not like; The deposit for power only was $145. The deposit is subtracted from the current balance owed when you disconnect. This means that because you most likely will have a balance due when you disconnect (assuming you pay on the due date and not earlier) than you wont see your deposit again you will just have a lower final balance due. I should issue one disclaimer; i used BTU after they switched to the online format, apparently there were issues before this switch, i never experienced any issues what so ever. Not that i had a choice (ugh, no compete zones) but this was a good power company and i would have no issues using them again.

The transition to a new online payment system has been a huge hassle. Payment due dates change from month-to-month. Unless you enroll in auto-pay, expect to get snowballed by bills sent at the discretion of BTU

They unregistered me from their auto-pay system and when my bills went unpaid, they made no attempt to call, text, or email me and then cut off my service without warning. Want your service re-established? Gotta talk directly to a representative. Did you find out over the holidays after 5pm? That's rough buddy. Seriously, if you're going to require that people talk to your billing department to restore their service, you could at least have the courtesy to keep someone on call.

The new web interface has zero functionality. It's a hassle to get bills paid because of the technology.

Seeing a lot of bad reviews honestly I’ve been with them for over 2 years now and have had any problems with them. As far as that goes I don’t have anything bad to say.
