Their parent company, Hickory Foods, closed down one of their facilities and stiffed their vendors. Very unethical.

One of the best delivery experiences we have ever had. Got us to a door an hour ahead of our appointment, the guy helped with the docking process (seal, tandems, chocks) so we could be quick and efficient (that never happens!), and they treat drivers with kindness and respect. Clean bathrooms (and facility), comfy sofas for waiting at receiving (too bad they were so quick and efficient with the paperwork--I wanted to sit on their comfy couch! *grin*), people are helpful, warm and friendly (one went out of her way to offer me coffee!), and they had us unloaded in 30 minutes!! Seriously!!

You can tell a lot about a corporate culture by the way they treat OTR drivers. These guys have not only got their efficiencies down, but they are a standout in professional courtesy. Oh, and we were delivering beef. The good stuff. (Not the McD stuff. That's the Spam of beef. It's 100% beef, but that didn't mean you want it.) No, these guys order the "top shelf" stuff from the best quality company we deliver for. Will be going out of my way to buy their products in future.
