Story

-Reviving the traditional supper club atmosphere-
Supper clubs are a big tradition in Wisconsin and the Buck-A-Neer Supper Club is right at the top of the list! Enjoy traditional supper club food and drinks in our cozy farmhouse setting that compliments the remnants of the buildings past. In the early 1900s this building was a blacksmith shop that would eventually become the Paris Avenue Nite Club in the 1940s. Sometime around 1973 it officially became the Buck-A-Neer Supper Club. It is our goal to carry the Wisconsin supper club tradition to future generations to come!

The drinks are spectacular, the food is phenomenal and locally-sourced! A group of my friends and I stopped here after a wedding up the street. The bartender was about to close down for the afternoon but stayed open for us. He was surprisingly attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. I wish I had a bar just like this back home!

The remodel is nice. Improved layout and simplified menu implies more care taken for the remaining offerings. Drinks while pricey for the area are well made with appropriate techniques to ensure delicious cocktails. The salad bar is still well stocked and pleasing and clean presentation. The deep fried cheese curds have a wonderful light batter showing off the curd with a crispy exterior and gooey goodness inside. The server we had was attentive, polite and helpful. Never leaving us too long waiting for assistance. It appears that the new owners have done a good job so far, but was surprised at the lack of customers. I fear it has more to do with the pricing than anything else. What once was a nice date night for two at around $50 is now much closer to $70 or $80 for dinner and drinks for two. If they are locally sourcing the items on their menu, they could attract more business by advertising that and maybe even mentioning the local suppliers (that aren't a Sysco or Rinehart truck.)

Friday nite fish fry was great! Salad bar was well stocked and fresh. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely go back.

Was a very nice evening. Good food, wonderful atmosphere and good friends. Lobster special very good.

Great food. Music at a level you can still carry on conversation. Salad bar was awesome, service was prompt and courteous
