This is why monopolies are bad. When there is no competition There is terrible customer service and they can treat you like jerks. We are moving, and started new service. They asked for an estimated moving day, and on that given day (several weeks later), without checking they shut off our gas. We had closing pushed back, so are still in the house for 2 more weeks. I found the issue right away, and they said they can't turn it back on for 2 days. 2 days, in a home with 4 kids with out hot water or a stove top. Even when offering to pay a fee, they simply refused. Absolutely ridiculous and would change companies in a heart beat if given the option!

The city of Buford utilities department is a joke. Their continued mistakes and laziness is remarkable. They wrongfully draft funds from your account because the meter readers are too lazy to put in an accurate reading, their employees are rude and the tire operation is poorly run.

Lee & Chris from the City of Buford Gas Company are awesome! They went out of their way to help me solve my gas problem in my home! Highly recommended! Super friendly! Honest! They helped me save money!

I agree with c meadows! They are very awful about cutting service an not giving you incoming notice at all. I am actually one of those people that always pay their bills and never had a disconnection with them and somehow I came home this evening with my gas not working. However there's no notice on the door or anything. As a matter of fact I just got a bill recently for my current service so I don't understand how can you come and cut off so sudden. I wish there somebody we can contact about this issue because this is a way for then to scam & getting money out of hard Working Class People. I will be glad once i am done with city of buford!

Horrible problems when we tried to establish gas service. They would not take the transfer until the person who sold us the home and disconnected. We moved in and the came out and disconnected service with our even knocking on the door. They won't reestablish serice until tomorrow even though it is winter and we have an elderly person living here.
