Quick, fresh build-a-meal options. I've been here 3-4 times since it opened about 5 years ago. It's a bit like a Chipotle, but for Korean food. It's a bit nicer than most fast-food in the dining areas. I've not been here enough to tell you about service when it's busy but it has always been quick when I stop by. The man behind the counter couldn't tell me about wheat in the ramen but was great at directing me to a good sauce when I said no soy sauce. I had a bowl with brown rice, sweet beef and some veggies on top. Everything was fresh and better than average fast food. It seems to try for something more -Friendly than the other Korean cafes that I've tried on Buford highway. They have soft-drinks, fresh lemonade and several drinks with labels in Asian language. This is a great option for a quick, healthy meal of Korean food. The menus are posted on the wall and you can get food that is quite mild or quite spicy. Dietary restrictions: Easy to be gluten-free and dairy-free as you're building a meal as you pass down the counter. I seemed to be able to avoid soy, except for the soybean oil in the mayo.
This place offers such good poke... With items cooked fresh for you... I enjoy they have tofu as an option... It was so good I almost forgot to take a pictureFood: 5/5
The food here is phenomenal and the proprietor crafts each bowl with genuine care. It's just as much a pleasure to watch your meal crafted in front of you as it is to enjoy eating it.Food: 5/5
We tried Bull Gogi for the 1st time. The server was super helpful with explaining the menu and making recommendations. The food was really, really good. We got a bowl and a mixture of veggie, pork, spicy dumplings. We are definitely going to make this a regular lunch spot.
I ordered from here for the first time today for lunch. I should preface by saying that Bullgogi was recommended to me by two different Korean coworkers. One of which said the kimchi here tasted like her mom's homemade kimchi. Personally, I do not think the bowl really tasted like authentic Korean food. However, it was decent for a quick Korean fix. Obviously, I would prefer something from Buford Hwy. I got the Bullgogi bowl with fried rice, the spicy chicken, corn, onions, edamame, spring mix, pickled radish, pickled cucumber, jalapenos, and kimchi on the side. For my sauces I got Yum Yum, spicy mayo, and the Bullgogi sauce. I thought it was all very tasy. my only complaint is that I would have liked more spring mix, or vegetables in general, and less rice. However, I think traditionally, it is supposed to come with a lot of rice. Portion wise, it was enough for two lunches, but I had a hard time not eating all of it. I also thought the kimchi was kind of strong at first, and it had quite a kick to it. I decided to mix it into my bowl, and it was really great like that. Overall, I think Bullgogi is good. It would not be my first pick for Korean food, but I would have it again for lunch.
This is some of the freshest poke I’ve had in a really long time, with lots of veggies and a heavy helping of fresh fish for me. My husband was wanting something warmer/more substantial and got the chicken bullgogi bowl - he was a huge fan! It’s a great place to go when one of us wants something on the lighter yet still filling side while the other wants something heavier. Also, don’t skip the dumplings! Parking: Big free lot shared with other restaurants
Fresh poké bowls at $10 a bowl, which is a better price than most other places. The staff was friendly and there were tons of options, including meats for those who don’t want seafood!
The owner was super nice and helpful suggesting ingredients for my first hot bowl I typically get poke at places like this. The beef was savory and the vegetables were fresh.
The chef and owner treats every ingredient with care, skill, and experience. If you order something from him, let him choose the ingredients and sauces. Flavors were perfectly balanced, alive, healthy, and so delicious. A rare gem in Atlanta.Food: 5/5
This place was close to our hotel. We didn't have much experience with the cuisine, but the very friendly proprietor walked us through the options. The result was a very tasty, affordable, and healthy lunch.Food: 5/5
