When going through Clifton my Husband & I have stopped on occasion and had barbeque (ribs & pulled pork) and EVERY time the food has been VERY good or we wouldn't have gone back... A couple of weeks ago on a Friday (4pm to be exact) we stopped in for the ***"ALL you can eat" Fried Fish. Now... We have had a terrible time finding a place that meets "our standards" to call "good fried fish" ... Anyway, Over the last couple of years if we were fortunate to find a place that had "decent" fried fish we were hopeful BUT it never failed that we would return hopeful ONLY to be disappointed and we are talking we did our research TOO (*from watching food programs about our surrounding areas and social media, high dollar places, reading multiple reviews).. ***MY Dad is by far the BEST Fried Fish Chef hands down and when we stopped at the Bunkhouse on a Friday@4 we went in to see if by chance we could persuade them to serve us a lil early (worth a shot😀 as NO harm in asking) BUT NO 5 pm was 5 pm which "I AIN'T mad" and we had to decide if we were going to go on home or piddle around for an hour and so we decided to piddle and I can tell you that we BOTH fell in love. Since then we will make the trip on Fridays to go for Supper. Each time the fish I'd fabulous! Crispy & NEVER soggy or undercooked or overcooked & the pinto beans are some of the best I have ever had and I am so picky on beans too! The whole meal (with the exception of he french fries 🤐) is a 10 to ME and on a consistent basis! You aren't served little pieces that is by far more batter than fish BUT big pieces of perfectly fried fish with a well seasoned batter and once you have eaten them the wait staff is right there to ask how many pieces for second's and then freshly fried and hot when served to est until you are finished. Hush puppies tasty and as I said the brown beans are excellent and I can tell that they are slow cooked rather than quick boiled up because they are soft (NOT mushy tho or overcooked) and the beam juice has a thicker texture than quick boiled watery bean juice. Now the ONLY thing that I will not eat are the fries that I believe to be cooked too fast and are extremely greasy, however, if going in for the fish and other additives fries just aren't worth the effort when the fish s where it at!!! Wonderful 5+ place to dine!

My favorite BBQ hands down. Great, friendly staff. Fast service as well... crucial for people that get hangry like myself
