Burger Lounge is a small chain, somewhat new in Los Angeles. This one is located in Marina Del Rey. Parking is free in the underground lot or on the street. It is on a corner of a block long strip mall and is cute. The place outside is lovely. You can at times dine outdoors, but there is plenty of seating inside in comfortable booths or at their counter. It is super cute inside and really clean. The service is great. This is why they have 4 stars from me, they really deserved 3, but I think they just need to pay more attention to what they are cooking. The staff is very nice and helpful. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you when it is ready. It comes looking nice and organized. Where they fail is in their burger department. They are dry, too well done, and just sort of bland. Now, they have great ingredients I know they could cook up a great burger. The French fries were just so boring. The onion rings were quite good and they have wonderful milk shacks. They also have cool craft sodas on tap and I think they have beer. Their pan fried cod sandwich is good, but needs a little something, it is just bland. I know they can work on this because they have all the stuff you would want. Their pricing is very high for what you get. I would not mind if the food was so great, again I think it could be. It just needs a touch of something to make it super yummy. You will love the service and that is something that is already perfect there.
Don't be like me and order a double with avocado and bacon, with a side of 1/2 onion rings and 1/2 fries. Also, don't add some of your onion rings to that burger creation. Not only will you not be able to take a bite due to how tall it's become, but after consuming most if it, you'll hate yourself. It's been hours since my last bite and I still hate myself. The burger was fresh and delicious. The meat to bun ratio was not in my favor. I had issues with the beacon, it was undercooked and chewy. The avocado wasn't my favorite either. I'm pleased that they had vegan cheese and even vegan ranch for those intolerant folks. Next time I'll start with a regular burger and build from there.
I really wanted to like this place… sadly even though I am within a 5 minute walk, I’ll never return for burgers… I ordered a toasted coconut dairy free milkshake, regular fries and their sob burger.. carmalized onions, pickles, grass fed burger and bl1000 sauce, first off I got a single patty and it was still drier than your sex life… was pretty bland.. and nice that they provide the vegan cheese option… though i don’t get why it was so messy, super poor burger construction.. fries are very tasty… though I paid and ordered 3 additional sauces and received none of them.. they stole from me.. beyond disappointing… friendly service… though not sure what about my meal was overly complicated.. also not sure why this place is so popular… besides chalking up the fact that folks have subpar food taste. Dietary restrictions: Has lots of vegan/dairy free options
The best burger lounge of all the burger lounges is the one in marina del Rey. I used to live that way and occasionally wish I still did when wanting a perfect cheeseburger. Also the staff is beyond amazing. They remember customers and went above and beyond for me when bad times fell my way. This place was briefly my Cheers and would still be if I was closer. Stop in and treat yourself. You won’t regret it.
What a lovely place to dine! We are visiting from NZ and were in the area when we stumbled across this gem. Best burgers of our trip! Awesome Staff. And immaculately clean restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu!
Burger was pink inside. They didnt give us the ranch we requested. Didn’t follow any special instructions for the burgers. Usually burger lounge is good, but this is gross.
Dude, the driest, crunchiest piece of beef if ever had in my entire life. This is truly awful, and I don’t post good reviews but I gagged. Waste of money. Customer Service was great.
Would go again / Food = Above average / Cashier = Above average / Cleanliness = Above average / Price = Average I ordered the lounge burger with large fries and a strawberry milkshake = ~$23. This was a tough review because of one fact...burgers go with fries. Now, the burger was delicious! You can taste how the grass fed tenderizes and provides a clean taste in the patty. The caramelized, charred crust on the surface of the patty oozes flavor. It can be slightly less cooked but maybe this is at request. However, the reason I gave -1 to a 3 stars is because of the fries. For a place that has very good burgers, the fries are flavorless. Not even a matter of adding more salt but the fries almost taste like it was frozen and all the natural potato taste is gone. Is it a matter of using better quality of potatoes? Idk...but the fries should be avoided if this is normal. It was my first time visiting. I would definitely go back for the burger but a oid the fries unless it changes. Milkshake was good, maybe above average but nothing special. I walked but parking seems plenty in the plaza's garage. Might be validated. They have outdoor seating and seems to be enough for a volume of customers.
Had the sob and fried chicken sandwich. sob was good but a little dry. Nice caramelized onion and thousand island though. The crispy chicken sandwich unfortunately was burnt but the bread was good. They have an excellent selection of beers on tap for a burger joint and good interior with tvs. If not for the burnt chicken sandwich I’d rate it higher.
Food was excellent, as was the customer service. I’m on a medically restricted diet, so I was so happy with the Cave Dweller and didn’t have to make any modifications. My husband enjoyed his “normal person” burger as well.
