Story

Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Burr Oak Lodge & Conference Center overlooks sparkling Burr Oak Lake while blending beautifully into the natural forest for which southern Ohio is so well-known.

Our facilities can accommodate any size party, from single hikers to families to enormous wedding parties and conference groups. Stay overnight in a spacious Lodge room, a cozy cottage, or one of our rustic campsites.

We offer 40 miles of hiking trails, including a generous portion of the famous Buckeye Trail, as well as, hunting, fishing, boating, court sports, and swimming, and we feature two in-house dining options.

Our family loves to stay there.   The front desk staff are fantastic to  with, the newly remodeled rooms and suites are great for . families with kids. Our daughter loves  having a bunk bed and her own TV and her own bathroom.
The master bath is wonderfully redone with a huge the path to the lake is very steep without any stairs, but we go fishing off the large dock. And there's plenty of smaller fish for entertainment, 
Some year, we will need to rent a boat to get to the middle of the pond for good fishing, but we always meet friendly people.   
At night we enjoy hanging out in the alcove balcony, and playing one of their family board games.

Great rooms! There's a bedroom with a king sized bed and private bathroom. Then there is another room with a twin-over-full bunk bed, mini fridge, microwave, and another private bathroom. Was great for our family of 4. Beautiful area for hiking.

Around the very small town of Glouster, didn't get to see the rooms in the main lodge, stayed in one of the cabins. Dated to probably the 70s, pretty good condition, clean bathrooms. Reasonable prices. Service from staff was great, was there to attend a wedding. Breakfast buffet was $10 and food was pretty good. Nice place to stay for a few days if you are into nature.

It's not a resort but it's fine for a place to sleep for the night. The hand soap and the body wash are the same exact soaps. Rooms had been updated I guess but they're nothing special. TV was an older model flat screen. Staff was friendly. Cleanliness overall was ok.

I've only been there during hunting season. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is very nice. However, they used to have a breakfast early in the morning for hunters, but they didn't have it this year. Other than that, the food at the restaurant is very good and reasonable for a resort. I would highly recommend it. It is very beautiful.
