About

We serve only the highest-quality ingredients and make all menu favorites from scratch every day. We strive to hear the words, "This tastes like just like my Grandma used to make it", and this is the highest compliment we can receive.

Story

Starting in 1989, Shirley Chavez set out to open their own business and decided to call it Chavez Tortillas. Shirley enlisted the help of her daughters and family. Everyone worked very hard to make tortillas and deliver them all over Albuquerque and Valencia County to local grocery stores. The tortillas were also sold over-the-counter at the new "Chavez Tortillas" . However, tortillas proved difficult to make well in a homemade fashion for an inexpensive price and Shirley quickly came to realize that her dream needed a few tweaks. To further promote sales, Shirley decided to offer some delicious homemade food to encourage people to try her tortillas. She started by offering a burrito to anyone who stopped by. People loved them! - and started bringing their friends by to try one. Word travelled fast, business increased, and Burritos Alinstante was born!

The burritos are great! The staff is wonderful and inviting. My only qualms are: 1.) They serve sausage with breakfast but its not on their menu. 2.) They don't quite fold in the bottom of the burrito so be warned it can leak delicious Chile on your clothes. Otherwise they are great! Would recommend to anyone wanted a burrito.

I love the food. However, the prices are very high. More than $6 for a burrito and more that $5 for a small (4oz.) guacamole and chips. Also, some days the burritos are nice and big making one feel justified in paying so much and other days, the burritos are small making one feel cheated. But the food is good. When this place first opened, it was $2.25 a burrito with lines out the door...the food hasn't changed but those lines don't exist anymore. Wonder why??

They're very rude especially if you don't fit their certain profile, they'll treat you like garbage. Their food use to be great but their portions have decreased and the prices are ridiculous. I'd rather go to Blakes any day before going back to this place...

Employees are extremely rude and treat you like you're bothering them especially when it's a large order they get really irritated. And it's not just 1 person because I go there a lot for my family it's all of them. So sad because the food is really really good. Oh and they are very very expensive for being a fast food place. Change your rude staff or have a PR (public relations) inservice for them and your restaurant will surely get a 5 star rating. This is at the Los Lunas location

I hadn't eaten at this location in a few years and was very surprised at how much the prices have changed. My burrito was good but way over priced. I was also excited they now serve sweet rice. The worker asked me if I wanted cinnamon which was great until I got home and seen she poured way too much on the rice, I couldn't even enjoy it.
