Opened in August of 2008, Butera’s Billiards is classy mixed room of serious professional players and a community of BCA and APA league players. The room comes stocked with meticulously cared for Diamond 7ft and standard bar tables and room for community Dart Leagues to play as well. Butera’s Billiards prefers to keep itself a calm, fun, and classy environment. How does it do so?
It is impossible to describe Butera’s Billiards without first taking some time to know the Butera family in regards to billiards. World Class professional pool competitor Sal Butera and his wife Laurie Butera are well known faces among the billiard community. Sal is a lethal player and the son of legendary Hall of Fame billiard player Lou “Machine Gun” Butera. This effectively makes Sal a ‘Son of a Gun’ and his experience has been well suited to put together a classy well maintained pool hall. Sal and his wife Laurie took over an aging Moorpark pool hall in 2008 and have been attracting the best players from around the world ever since.
