I was in with my kids to see the animals. I was looking a dog that I thought would be a great Connect to my husband. The lady running around with the ear covers to protect from the noise was rude the hole time I was there. I realize it's good to not let children put fingers in the cage. However I'm not a child. After getting to know the dog we started to get. Comfortable with each other enough for the dog to put his body against the cage for some affection. I've been around animals my whole life and no expert but I understand when a dog needs affection I believe the lady when I had an adoption out of me that day if she would've approached me differently. Instead of yelling at me to get my fingers are like a child all she would've had to say was would you like to get to know his dog better. Simple approaches in life make things easier than those of rude unhappy people. I will never adopt from this animal shelter and I feel very sorry for the animals

After an awful experience at a shelter in Anaconda, we drove to this shelter on a whim and found a lovely pup we ended up adopting. Inside and outside looked a bit run down (as is the case with many county shelters so I won't hold it against them) but the staff was super nice and knew each dog very well. We applied and they said they needed a few days for her spay scar to heal up and test her with a few things, but they updated us as soon as she was cleared. When we went to pick her up they went over all the paperwork in detail, microchipped her, and even gave us a Christmas collar and leash. She was found as a stray a month prior to us bringing her home but the staff had clearly taken the time to try and house train and teach her basic commands such as sit in her short time at the shelter. We've had zero issues with her interactions with other dogs and humans--it's very clear the shelter workers took the time to work with her and the result is an absolutely fantastic pup. The staff was friendly and care very much about the animals there, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt.

They never answer their phone, and make adopting a real pain in the ass, 3 day waiting list? I went out of town and got a cat same day.
