Great tapas spot with delicious wines. The server was super welcoming, explained the menu to us, and gave us this giant brick of butter along with pickles and fresh bread to start off the meal. It’s standing room only, so be prepared. We ordered almost everything on the menu, paired with the white wine suggested by the server, super delicious. Honestly every single thing we got was out of this world. And small bite sized so you can share multiple plates to try everything.
Amazing food at very affordable pricing! Just be mindful that it is a very casual setting - there is a small bench bar with less than 10 stools and another bench with no stools. You pick wherever you like to seat or stand if the seats are full. The regular menu is on top of your head, hanging on different place cards. Make sure to check it out because we missed it when we ordered. The daily special menu is printed and available on the bar. The waitress speaks English and was very friendly! She will ask you whether you like to drink white or red when you arrive and you can taste the wine and then decide if you want to go with it. Everything we ordered tasted amazing but have to recommend the tuna brûlée as it only costed 10 euro!
Small bar with fun bartenders and good little snacks. Its cheap enough you can try a few things to see what’s good for you. Wine is yummy could always be colder in my opinion but that’s like my life’s mission. The butter is great so watch out you don’t house a ton of warm bread before you go to a dinner, but it’ll be good on the way going down.
The atmosphere is hectic during lunch hours but I enjoyed the experience. I love the giant slab of butter and pickles they offer on the tables. Definitely come with a friend so you can order multiple dishes and share. Menu is on the ceiling so bring your glasses. Note there is limited seating and most people stand.
The place is divided into seafood and meats, we went to the seafood side and everything was delicious and with a very particular mix of ingredients! Dishes are small so you can share and try lots of different things. My personal favorites were the sardines au beurre and the oysters. Also the plain butter for the bread is awesome! Better for couples or solo eaters than groups
This was another sister restaurant of Le Comptoir two doors down and owned by Chef Yves Camdeborde. The dishes here are outstanding and especially the Duck hotdog . Everything we had was delicious and did I mention the fabulous butter and crusty French bread
Fantastic quick restaurant. No chairs. Order at the counter and served in minutes. Very good foie gras. Excellent service. Speak English and very friendly. Bread with a mountain of butter a bonus
It looks like a bar but their food is top notch quality and taste. Their butter is truly amazing as well. I in particularly love the sauté calamari with chorizo. The touch of sourness from vinegar is magical. The fried oyster is delicious. Very crispy on the outside and the oyster is extremely fresh. Love the lemon sauce! Strongly recommend.
Wonderful and friendly spot. Great place to try new wines...they pour a taste before they pour a glass. Great small plates.
A genuine local bistro across from my airbandb. Friendly staff and good food. A few years ago it was called something else but still has the same owners. I went several times. Petite déjeuner is very good and reasonable. I’d recommend it especially if you’re staying nearby.
