Great breakfast and lunch spot with hearty and delicious food, decent coffee & tea, and fair prices. The space is fairly large to accommodate a sizable crowd, while still being laptop-worthy and intimate. Super-popular with the locals.

Good breakfast, but unprofessional and bad service! For the price you pay, you deserve better treatment. No one can tell you a seat is reserve for bigger group as well tell us there’s actually a 45-1hr wait.We’re already seating, have ordered, paid for the food, just waiting for the order to be served. BTW, this restaurant is a type where you order in line, pay for it and they give you a number and bring them to your table. First of as soon we ordered they could have mentioned about the wait time so we can decide wether we dine in or take out, or when my son sat in a 4-seating table they could have said that’s reserve or we have to wait on a certain time... nobody did that- instead approached us after we are finally back to seating to wait for our order to arrive and mentioned rudely that we can’t sit there as it is reserved for a bigger group. We are never going back tomorrow that Cafe! Manager/partOwner didn’t even resolve the issue after bringing up our concern instead just said next time she will train her staff to talk appropriately in things like that. So we just requested for a refund saying we can’t wait that long. PERIOD.

Great hospitality, gets a bit busy but that's too be expected with how good it is. Maybe make the coffee and water self serve while customers wait? Just a suggestion. Overall great experience, will definitely be going back!

Butter Cafe is one of those local gems that quickly makes the list of "must eats". Everything on their menu feels carefully curated and intentional. Pastries are top notch and the breakfast and lunch dishes are an ABSOLUTE must try. Even something as simple as avocado toast becomes next-level in the hands of their chefs. 
I've only had one experience where I had asked to send something back to the kitchen, this was due to the dish being too spicy for my liking. However the staff is extremely friendly and efficient, you will not wait long for your coffee or food. 
And speaking of coffee, the selection here puts many other coffee houses to shame. I highly recommend taking the time to treat yourself to some Butter Cafe.

Ordered the blueberry French toast slab. The bread choice was a bit heavy, but this was mitigated by the fresh fruit. My friend liked the croque monsieur. All in all the service was good, but the set up was a bit confusing.
