Finally visited this birdhouse.  Food was delicious.  Very good quality and size chicken for all of us.  Spiceyness/hot levels are definitely on the hot side.  I really liked their Cole slaw. Only reason I am giving this place 4 stars vs 5 is because our order to go took a bit longer than usual and because we upgraded to cheese fries and when we got home we realized we only got regular fries for one of our orders. I am confident our next visit this team will deliver a 5 star experience.

5/25/22 NEW REVIEW:  So I gave this place a few more months to iron out their issues before trying again and I’m happy to say that the food is much improved. I decided to skip the sides this time since they were so bad last time and the chicken was fresh, flavorful, and juicy. I am really glad they were able to figure things out. I’ve added two stars to my review and attached updated photos.  ORIGINAL REVIEW 2 stars I really wanted to like this place. I love supporting local halal restaurants as it’s hard to find in our area but this place needs some real improvements before I will return.  First off the pricing is insane. I understand food costs are high due to inflation but there needs to be a line. I paid $18 for a single chicken sandwich with a side of fries and a single scoop of Mac and cheese.  I wouldn’t have minded paying the price if the chicken sandwich was worth it. Unfortunately that was not the case either. When I went to eat my sandwich the bottom bun was soaked in grease and fell apart. I got the Hot seasoning and the chicken had no flavor.  I am all about restaurants going through growing pains as a new business so I am hoping that they will improve as time goes on and they receive more feedback from guests. I really hate writing bad reviews especially for local small businesses but for this price I feel cheated out of my money.

First time here, definitely will not be my last!! Had a mild 2 PC and the chicken strips were big and juicy. Mac was great and the slaw was amazing. Food may take a little longer than usual, I'm assuming it is made to order. Definitely worth the wait!!!

Great addition to Algonquin. Delicious hot chicken. If you are sensitive to spice, I recommend the mild or no spice. Cheese fries were amazing, and the slaw was a nice way to offset the heat. Be prepared to wait about 15 minutes for your order, but everything was made fresh and worth the wait! Friendly service.Food: 5/5

So good! Prices seem high but you get so much food at such good quality its definitely worth it. Tenders juicy and crispy, fries have great seasoning, mac n cheese solid. Fair warning the spice levels get hot fast Food: 5/5

We decided to check this place out after driving by it often and always saying, “we need to try it”, and I’m very glad we did. The chicken was AWESOME. Very crispy, the chicken was juicy, fries were great, and the 24k sauce was unique and a good accompaniment to the food. The owner/manager was a very friendly gentleman who seemed excited for some newbies.  Truth be told, the Medium spice was more heat than I was expecting, but that’s on me.  We are already looking forward to our next visit where we will try a sandwich. Excellent hot chicken!

The crunch is off the charts! Generous serving size, especially the tenders could probably split this. 24K sauce is gold! Great addition to the fast casual scene in the Gonk. Visited for the first time and it was good. The hot flavor was definitely much hotter than i expected, but manageable. Also, tried the kids nuggets with the fries and that was also good. Its a bit of a far drive but would definitely come back.

Finally a real hot chicken spot. If you really enjoy hot chicken this spot is for you. I only had the hot, so not their hottest, but next time i go i will get their hottest chicken sandwich. Potato salad was surprisingly good. Slightly pricy, but what isn't nowadays. Workers are polite and very clean.Food: 5/5
