If I could give this company zero stars, I would. The lack of professionalism displayed left me and my partner in awe! To begin, the initial property that we were to be shown that Monday afternoon was subpar at best. Varied quite a bit from the picture with over run grass and weeds, peeling and chipped paint on the housing exterior and a badly cracked driveway. Keep in mind that the agent Jill, never once hung up from her phone call to introduce herself or show the property properly, so the disappointment of the home was not easily picked up by her. Before leaving I asked about another rental in the area that could possibly be shown. She informed us of a nicer home in the same area. Upon arriving at the second location, at which time she still never hung up from her call, we gave ourselves a self guided tour. We decided for the price the home was suitable for what we needed as we await to purchase our own home. We questioned why the home was still available and she stated that it had been on the market a month and another applicant ("a close friend") had withdrew their deposit for personal reasons. Jill clearly informed me and my partner that there were NOT any other applications on the house and gave us instructions to apply that evening in which we did. I asked the turnaround time for approval in which she stated 24-48 hours and we would be able to meet her Friday to secure the rental with the deposit. The next morning on Tuesday, after submitting the primary application she asked that I complete the process as well which meant paying another $35 application fee. I called and text Wednesday morning to check the status of both applications as two other homes that we had pre-qualified and favored become available, no response. Thursday afternoon, I emailed the owner and called and text Jill again, no response. When I finally received a response on Friday with expectations to secure the rental with a deposit, she advised that her boss, Mike took a security deposit on the home (the home she stated no other applications were on) and she would show us other properties. I reminded Jill that if we had known that the home was unavailable we NEVER would have applied with her company as their rentals aren't in the best areas.  Dealing with a high risk pregnancy and being under considerable time constraints to move with our current lease expiring was stressful enough without being given the runaround for a week. The lack of communication between her and her boss and her lack of professionalism by not responding to my calls and text cost us $70 in app fees, a beautiful rental we pre qualified for, TWO additional Hard inquiries and a weeks worth of our time to which she had and still has no commentary worth replying. (I've kept the text/thread to share with others if needed as I will be posting this review on various sites and forums.) On the brighter side, if it were not for their poor business ethics and model, I never would have found such a beautiful rental in Tinley thanks to the professionals at INVITATION HOMES!!! From the moment we arrived and was greeted by our bright and cheery agent with a smile and handshake we were treated as buyers not renters. The agent walked us through each home and described the amenities and rental options. She even knew each homes sq footage, school rating and the distance between my fiancées job downtown to the residency. From their meticulously cared for homes and grounds to their seemless application process we were impressed! As soon as we completed the application and paid the required fee the home was taken off of the market and held while our application was approved. So thank you Cab Investments for showing us what NOT to look for in a rental company, correction rental investment company. Otherwise, we'd never be in our beautiful new Tinley Park rental.
