Cabela's is a pure joy in every sense of the word! It is extremely well stocked in every area of clothing, equipment, camping supplies, sporting goods, etc. When you enter this store, you are quickly impressed with it's size, organized inventories, beautiful displays and friendly staff. There is never a doubt that you are being well received. I was quite impressed with their staff. Starting with Philip who welcomed me into the store with a smile and nice conversation. Then over near the smokers and grills, both Pamela and Joe provided me with additional pleasures as they shared more courtesies to me. I found every staff member to be very eager to assist and to provide good service to my needs. Upon leaving, I met one of the managers, Scot, who continued the line of quality staff members that I met. From the standpoint of quality of service, products and customer satisfaction, they are of the highest rating! I suggest you come to Cabela's and be prepared to enjoy yourself and to meet some really nice people. And by the way, Jonathan, over near Cabela's cafe highly recommends that you try the Hunter Hash Burrito. He says it is massive and quite delicious.

If you need it, want it or crave it....they have it! What an AMAZING hunting/outdoors supply store! Years ago (35+) I ordered many things from their catalog. From bow hunting to slippers and was never disappointed in the quality. Its good to see in these times that some businesses haven't changed.

Cabela’s is great. To be clear, I’m not an outdoorsy person. At all. But the people in my life are. The selections are vast, customer service is great, lines aren’t crazy long even though I came during holiday season and the prices are great. Will be back!

I can't speak for the store itself, but this is in my experience one of the best gun libraries in the company with Wheeling, WV right there with them. What I mean by that is the people who work it are super helpful, polite and actually answer the phone or call back within a reasonable amount of time (not 4 days after they sold it to someone else and never updated the website like usual). I deal with Cabela's gun libraries relatively often for oddball stuff flying under the radar a bit, and there is no shortage of old guys that treat their inventory like it's a personal collection. Sorry dude, I can't drive to Wisconsin because you want credit for the sale on that Tikka or whatever. That's if you can get a hold of them. Anyway, any time I see something I'm looking for in their library it'll be a sigh of relief that' it's not somewhere else.

Will never buy a firearm here again ... the store gets +1 star for selection. It gets (-4) star for the agony for what should be a simple transaction. Purchased a shotgun online. Went to the store on a weekday (Thursday) at 11am. Take a number at the gun counter to claim the firearm - 25 minutes. Get escorted to 'Firearm Checkout' - wait 1:45 for fingerprints and background check. For mgmt's benefit - things I noticed while watching the team: a) at first I thought they were being overly careful in their repeated reviews - 3 times? - of the same firearm - opening the box, taking it out, checking S/N, repacking it - then I saw the last stage guy who called in the background checked found an error when the previous guy filled out my paperwork. Never seen so much wasted and redundant effort in my life. Would be better if they had people dedicated to doing one task really well than all of them doing all tasks poorly. b) poor/non-existent hand-off between employees on individual customer status. c) surprising that the behind-the-counter staff sort of drifted in and out between the gun counter staff and the checkout staff. The "counter staff" guys simultaneously seemed to 'try' to help the checkout staff, but at the same time disrupt what little momentum they had by asking question. I think there would be less frustration if they (a) took one customer at a time, start the background check process with the state police (and have multiple people going at the same time). The lack of knowing when you will be done drives customers crazy.
