Although it's a nice place to visit and the kids love it the prices are astronomical. Not only that if you return an item and don't happen to have the receipt they'll only refund you the lowest price they've sold them for no matter what you paid. I paid $127 for a pair of shoes return them the next day and could only find a pair that would fit me which priced at $75 which happened to be the same price they sold the other shoes for on sale. Not fair!

Went in during their big buck days. They were out of what I was looking for but helped me order it online. Small issue with the manufacturer but Gary was able to get everything taken care of. Thanks for all your help. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Took my bow to the archery shop to get some upgrades and to buy a new bow for my teenage daughter. The techs spent several hours working on our bows greeting them just right for us. When I went to check out, they even honored the expired sale price on my daughter's bow plus ten pet cent off the entire purchase due to the Labor Day sale going on.

It is really between 3 and 4 stars. Lots of variety and a fun environment. My kids love the mountain with all the animals and the aquarium. I feel in general like the prices are a little high for what you get. They have occasional sales that are pretty good and they have good prices on things like flies and lures. The main value I find in Cabela's is the variety, if I need some piece of equipment I can usually go and find it. It is also extremely close, so it is more convenient than any other sporting goods store.

Disappointed. Called Cabela's a week ago requesting a specific firearm for my wife. We went in Friday 27 October to pick up the rifle. Because my wife wanted this rifle she wanted to purchase it. I only called to arrange delivery of weapon. It wasn't a special order, I had not yet paid for it; actually it was just a transfer from their sister store in Lacey, WA as the Post Falls store didn't carry that specific item in stock. The disappointing part? They wouldn't let my wife purchase the rifle. Their justification to me was that because I was the one who 'ordered it' I had to be the one to purchase it. It wasn't stated but I imagine their concern was that I wanted my wife to purchase it for me so I could circumvent the background check. I was livid to say the least and they almost lost the sale and my continued business. I went ahead with the purchase on their terms only because I had been looking around for that specific weapon for her for some time and we didn't want to waste the trip. So Cabela's deprived my wife of her first firearm purchase and although shy and quiet she was embarrassed over the whole episode. Another irony, the Cabela's rep I spoke to on the phone placed my wife's name on the manufacturer's carton and it was there plain to see when the guy behind the counter brought the weapon out. During the heated exchange over the purchase we both noticed this guy discreetly remove the sticky note with her name and stuff it in his pocket. This is the 3rd weapon I've purchased from this Cabela's location as well as numerous other items. I will likely, and recommend everyone else, take their business to Blacksheep in Coeur d'alene from now on.
