For our brunch my wife ordered the Croque Madame, and I chose the Bouillabaisse 3-egg omelet. Desserts were the Chocolate Croissant and the stuffed cookie. Everything was splendid and lived up to the hype we'd been hearing about the restaurant. Service was prompt and excellent, and the interior, although noisy, was tastefully designed. All-in-all, a first-rate meal.
With a day off I went to Café le Jardin. Loved my meal and service. I ordered The Eggs Benedict. Best Benedict I've had around. It was so tasty and light. The music set the vibe. I was reminiscing my trip to Paris. Highly recommend giving it a try.Food: 5/5
Wife & I were looking for a date night without the kids & we were looking for something special. We don't typically eat French food and often we stick to what we know with the ~1,000 or so Italian restaurants around us. We are so glad we went here for dinner because wow, it was so delicious and one of the best dinners we've ever had. Wife got the French Onion Soup and hands down the best French onion soup she has ever eaten and already planning a return trip to have it again. The mussels were perfect and the perfect starter. Wife got Steak Frites & I got Beef Bourguignon for dinner and it was wonderful all around, didn't even get a chance to take a picture before we started eating. Desserts were fantastic and hit the spot even though we were both very full. For a special night out, this was a perfect evening out. Def give it a try, you will not regret it.
Cafe le Jardin: Where Food Dreams Come True And My Taste Buds Had a Rave Party So, there we were, stuck in the endless vortex of birthday dinner decisions. After much contemplation based on posts online about local restaurants , and a few rounds of rock-paper-scissors, we stumbled upon the hidden gem that is Cafe le Jardin in Audubon. A culinary haven with a sous chef straight out of the legendary Porch and Proper RIP, this place had been on our radar for ages. Note to self: procrastination doesn't pay off when it comes to fantastic food! We dove headfirst into the Monday magic: a 3-course feast for the delightful price of $35.00. Hold onto your taste buds, folks, because this was no ordinary meal. Our culinary journey began with a shared plate of Moules-Frites—a.k.a. mussels in garlic butter sauce with a sidekick of golden French fries. If only we could have bathed in that garlic butter, but let's not get carried away or judged by the neighboring tables. Our 3-course adventure continued with a synchronized order of French onion soup, Hachis-Parmentier fancy lingo for Beef Shepherd's Pie, and a finale fit for royalty—the Vanilla Cremeaux, aka a vanilla/orange creme brulee. Picture a party in your mouth, and then imagine that party being headlined by the most fabulous flavor orchestra. Spoiler alert: It was that good. I must confess; I had a momentary desire to smuggle two loaves of their divine bread home. Alas, my conscience and the watchful eyes of the waitstaff prevailed. The place operates on a BYOB policy, so don't forget to bring your own wine—because let's face it, a party in your mouth deserves the perfect sip to accompany it. Cafe le Jardin is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. Take advantage of their special deals, like the unbeatable 3-for-$35 on Mondays or the Saturday extravaganza of all-you-can-eat cheese for $25. Yes, you read that right—cheese enthusiasts, rejoice! And if you're not a fan of cheese, well, we might need to reassess our chance to ever have a friendship. Conclusion: In the grand scheme of culinary delights, Cafe le Jardin has secured a spot in my regular rotation. Owned and operated by the geniuses behind June BYOB in Collingswood a place I'll need to mortgage my soul to visit, this joint is a testament to the fact that good things come to those who wait. My taste buds are eternally grateful, and my wallet is readying itself for the next foodie adventure. Cheers to Cafe le Jardin—where every bite is a step closer to gastronomic nirvana!
Had a wonderful time at Cafe le Jardin. We sat in their outdoor patio area with our dog after a walk. The atmosphere was nice; it felt sophisticated and but still family friendly, and not overpriced. The staff was extremely friendly and even gave some food and water to our dog. The coffee and brunch entrees were delicious, I can personally recommend the artichoke sandwich and french fries. We will be back to try more things they offer like BYOB and more French cuisine. Kid-friendliness: They offer high chairs for kids.
Good French onion soup and excellent service. The steak frites & tart flambe just decent. The duck cassoulet was very disappointing. "Cassoulet" by definition is meat cooked with beans together in casserole or an eathernware "cassole". This simple comfort food if done correctly is one of the emblematic French gifts to gastronomy. I was surprised to find the beans frigid and the single duck confit leg & sausage luke warm at best. The dish lacked seasoning and tasted bland. If salt and pepper shakers are not on the table then the food should be properly seasoned as a rule. For $38 it should also be plentiful. Audubon NJ is not Paris after all... Perhaps I'm most disappointed in the fact that June BYOB sister restaurant is so exceptional in every way. Manned by the best young chef/owner in the area with great attention to detail in food, service and decor. June BYOB is much more expensive but also a tremendous value. Unfortunately Cafe le Jardin does not give the same value perception for the prices charged. The dining room is cold figuratively and literally.
Came here tonight for dinner with my friend to celebrate my birthday. We started off with the scallops and escargot. The scallops came in a cream sauce which was full of flavor. The escargot was just ok it was a bit on the bland side. I got the duck for entree which came with a bed of vegetables. It was a bit too much vegetable. I think I would enjoy it more if it was paired with a side of potato puree. The sauce was a bit on the sweeter side then I would like and I think it would be better if they make the duck skin a little crispier. The seafood pasta was tasty the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was full of flavors. The dessert was good. Overall I would recommend trying out this place. I would definitely be back to try out other dishes. I think it was on the pricier side for the entree portion you get.
First visit to Cafe le Jardin. It was phenomenal! We went for breakfast and had a lovely experience. The servers were friendly and helpful. The breakfast and afternoon selections were great, and it reminded me of being back in France. Photos of food speak for themselves. I will definitely be back for lunch and dinner in the near future!
Stop reading and just make your reservation on Resy. Stumbled on this gem after leaving the farmers market in Collingswood, check it out, highly recommend, and was looking for a breakfast spot. This was the first spot on the app and I decided to try it out. Glad I did. Might be the best restaurant in Camden County. The host was really nice and funny and our waiter, while only having the ability to carry two plates at a time, was personable, attentive, and was able to answer any questions that were asked. Now to the food: Awesome! I indulged in the truffle deviled eggs and as a person who gets deviled eggs 100% of the time when they are on a menu, these might have been the best. The truffle was not overwhelming at all and it still retained that unique deviled egg taste. I then had the Lobster Benedict and I swear, this lobster must have been pulled from the ocean within that hour. It was fresh and a good portion size of lobster meat. The eggs were perfectly poached and the English muffin did its thing. I wasn’t too keen on the breakfast potatoes. I found them to be overly cooked and hard. The atmosphere was relaxing and gave a nice amount of French vibes. Parking was not an issue. It is BYOB. So make sure you bring your own bottle of bubbly if you want to make a mimosa. Would recommend and will be returning.
Always love coming by and I genuinely wish I did it more often. The food is always delicious, but the seared tuna over ratatouille in a harrissa and tomato sauce was the best thing I've had there yet, and this is the first place I've ever liked french onion soup!Food: 5/5
