Nice Mediterranean dining experience. Service is outstanding - fast and efficient! The food is equally good - great lunch spot!
Delicious in a central location. Definitely busy during lunch rush & staff handles it beautifully! Get the seafood platter omg. Loved the scallops. Will be back for that risotto!
Excellent for Breakfast. Lunch/Dinner 4****. Central location for a midtown breakfast meeting. Food/Service exactly what you are expecting.
Very nice restaurant, I went there for a breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable, not expensive, but the atmosphere is very nice and the food was great. In the breakfast i eat the NY Bagel and was fantastic.
I hosted a business dinner here in the private room and recommend it unreservedly. The staff went above and beyond for our group, and everyone left with smiles. The food was very good and I felt the price was certainly fair for such a conveniently located spot which is a concern as we keep to a strict budget. There is a varied set of menus to choose from, and they accommodated special requests with ease. If you organize business dinners, you should definitely look into Cafe Centro.
This is a big place with both an outdoor bar where the business types go to get drinks after work and that part gets loud. There's also an outdoor section for people wanting to properly eat a sit down meal, so it's great that it accommodates all types. Perfect location next to Grand Central. The food is delicious. I took advantage of their "french restaurant week," and it was delicious. I had salmon that literally melted as my entree. Very attentive service. I would definitely come here regularly whenever I'm in the City.
Where else can you get a great meal like this one! Woohoo. Only at Cafe centro. Glad I made the trip. And the parking is free.
Excellent time. Had a business lunch and the setting and atmosphere is delightful. I had the chicken milanese and it was great. Large piece of chicken, breaded with arugula with sum lite dressing. Totally amazing but couldnt take picture of food. Attorney had the salmon and he said it was great too. 3 lunch entrees and it ran about 100dls. Pricey but great experience.
Food and service were fabulous, even though the service can be a bit slow, we enjoyed sitting there for a couple of hours and taking in the atmosphere on a cold winter night. Also loved that it wasn't crowded and that their space is large and comfortable. Everything we had was great, from the appetizers to the drinks. The oysters were excellent, just as good as my favorite places in Maine! I was impressed! Love that they're located right by Grand Central so that we could hop on the train to head home when we were done visiting. And I think the prices were in line with what you would expect at a fine restaurant in NYC. Another HUGE plus was that we didn't have to wait for a table. All the other places we had stopped at nearby were booked, small and crowded to be expected on a Saturday night in NYC!
I expected something much less, but what a wonderful dinner, super service, great food and a big fireplace to boot. I would eat here regularly when I come to NYC, and happily. Scallops were as good as we get in the Low Country, and we had a business group that had privacy and a great time.
