Food is well prepared and tastes great. Good vibes. But be aware the indoor dinner space is very limited, such you may end up waiting a while to get a table. The service is good once you get helped. The place has that “hidden” and intimate vibe, great for a cozy breakfast, in comparison to other places that are just jammed and with deteriorated food quality as people pack in. Highly recommend.
Came by for the first time this morning with the kids. Mike I believe the owner was absolutely kind and patient. Going anywhere with little ones can be stressful and makes me irritable but the staff's services and doing what they can to ensure we are okay was very nice. We waited to be seated inside understandable because we are a family of 5 but once we got inside, the food was immediately brought out. Smart planning to ensure customers are happy. We all inhaled our food. It was damn delicious and I honestly wish I had more to eat right now. I'm definitely coming back soon without the kids for a Sunday brunch date. I also overheard there's another location at an old ice cream shop. I'll have to look that up and check it out!
Cafe Dolma has absolutely the flakiest and most delicious almond chocolate croissant on the face of earth! They bake them in house and in small batches…We met up with a friend for brunch today, and among the 3 of us, we shared 4 together, two of which were fresh off the oven Food: 5/5
Place is so cozy and very instagrammable. Food tastes so good. I would recommend this restaurant if you’re roaming around Jersey City. Food: 5/5
Loved this cute tiny space. My son found out this Turkish place for a weekend brunch where we stay in Jersey City. We had a great experience sitting at their patio and to be honest their indoors is only for couple seating. We all loved their food. My wife liked their avocado toast which I found it a little extra oily, but the taste was good. One item on the menu made my day as it took me to my childhood, the “Çılbır” - my mom used to make it for some weekend brunches. It’s basically yolky eggs hid in yogurt, topped with butter with red pepper sauce on top. They make it to a next level at Dolma Cafe in the hands of a French chef : I loved the taste and remembered me my childhood. Gave five star to this place as the food was great, service was good, but the space was tight.
We came here for the first time today because of it’s great location and atmosphere. Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. Menu is super simple which normally is great, but unfortunately I got served old and rotten lettuce. How come the chef is lazy enough to not clean and pick lettuce? My wife’s food came in a pool of oil. Obviously she barely ate anything unless she wanted to have an heart attack. Hope they improve in the future. Unfortunately we won’t come back.
It’s all in the sauce, delicious food. Not so crazy about the coffee served in the paper cup. The mini chocolate donut is good but the jam one isn’t. Very small indoor dinning space, you’ll hear all of your neighbors conversations. The high bench by the window is too high and not comfortable, you won’t feel good eating in that awkward position.
Big fan of this spot! Went in here for brunch and was very impressed. The food is simple and delicious! The staff was super friendly and happy to answer questions about the menu. Absolutely loved their take on the Turkish coffee would also recommend trying it just as flavored milk, without the coffee - was amazing! The mini donuts chocolate hazelnut were amazing too! The eggs and croissant, zaatar potatoes, chicken sandwich, and poached eggs were all amazing! Would highly recommend!
Solid Mediterranean brunch place near Grove St. The Çılbır poached egg over labneh with sausage was really good! Especially the dill green sauce had tons of flavor and depth. So was the almond chocolate croissant and liked the mixed berry donut as well expect jam. I also got the Cortado - pretty solid.Food: 5/5
This place is the best brunch spot I've gone to so far. Firstly, their service is amazing. This is the first place in the US where we were given water within minutes of getting seated. These small gestures are what makes a cafe/restaurant stand out in hospitality. The staff was super sweet and friendly. Next, the food is amazing. I recommend the chocolate croissant, egg sandwich and brioche french toast. Do get the Turkish potatoes side with the egg sandwich that's so tasty. The presentation and taste of all these dishes was awesome - it felt like there was a lot of heart put into it.
