I'm glad this place has been able to stick around. Many of the original places around this place left from all the construction that constantly surrounds the area. Maybe a nod to the consistency of this place. 

I'm not going to say you have to go here for the best "fill in the blank", but it has always met my expectations for the slight premium price. Their choice of brewed coffees are quite good. I've had a few of their sandwiches and many of their pastries, this past visit I had a Cuban. The deep toasted panini marks into the focaccia bread with ham, roast pork and warm melted cheese was above par.

My main critique is they play it safe with their menu choices. I wish they would elevate their menu incorporating more creative combinations with highlighted quality ingredients (for all I know that was sliced deli ham from Safeway, not saying it was, but I have no idea if it was the roasted pork that saved the sandwich from being disappointing).

I suggest to at least once try to go early to your movie, sit outside, enjoy a pastry, and sip on some coffee in the sunshine. It's unique to have such a large outdoor area to enjoy a quality coffee and pastry on the peninsula that isn't in a strip mall. It would be a shame if this place were ever to shutter now that RWC is blowing up with residential buildings all around.

In a traffic free street close to a big movie theater. Has a lot of choice. Order at counter and then get a number for order to be delivered to table. Drinks handed to one before leaving ordering station. Big indoor and outdoor seating areas. Wine and draft beers available. Close to railroad station and auto parking at Box in the evening.

Great destination before or after going to the movies.  Excelent sandwiches and salads.  Breakfast is also very good.  Ample outdoor and indoor seating. Oh yes, nice pastry too.  As close to Paris as you can get in Redwood City.

I’ve only had the pistachio cake, but it was to die for and worth every penny spent!
