Oh man. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Crab and eggs with a little hot sauce... Nom nom nom. We basically woke up this morning and decided we wanted potatoes. These were the freakin' best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. My wife got an omelet, and then we also spilt some pancakes with chocolate chips and strawberry. The only knock was that we were maybe the 4th group seated but no one came to us for quite a while. The manager I think noticed before I could say something. Our server was wonderful once she got there. It's a popular spot for a reason.
We visited Melissa's Friday 6/7/24 around 1:00 PM. It is true what is said about first impressions. There were 2 benches outside the restaurant needing paint, looking very unsightly. The front door was broken. On entering the restaurant the table inside was filthy with food strewn on the floor. The waitress said we could take a booth. The table and floor were dirty and never made clean by staff. We got water, then waited for 25 minutes for wait staff to take our order. The matzoh ball soup was cold and tasted like it had been cooking all day. We asked for crackers and were told they didn't have any. My friend's fries were stone cold and had to be sent back. I believe this was my last meal at Melissa's.
Met a friend for dinner there yesterday. We each had the grilled vegetable salad. It was delicious. I personally don’t think u needed the lettuce with it. Best meal I’ve eaten in a awhile. Vegetarian options: Great options for vegetarian and gluten free.
Best brunch around ! I love going out for brunch and I have to say today I was so excited to try Cafe Melissa. Let me tell you it was worth it ! The chef and waitress was so amazing and accommodating. The food was flavorful and unique . I had blueberry pancakes with lemon mascarpone , fried potatoes , eggs, and sausage I didn’t take a picture of the potatoes but they were amazing as well. I can’t wait to come back !
Food was not expected potatoes were over cooked, I ordered bacon and sausage omelet received just bacon. The glass jar for light fixtures are full of dust.Food: 1/5
Made it to @cafemelissa_avonlake Their Steak tacos were amazingly good. Large portion. The perfect amount of seasoning. Then reading on the fried pickles was crispy and delicious. Even when I was full I ate the breading. Hand-breaded chicken tenders were a hit. Fries tasted like fair fries. We also had their Shrimp Thai Bowl, Carbonara and Mac-n-cheese.
One of the best lunches myself and my girlfriend can recall having. Totally amazing food and A+ service. Don't even bother looking at the menu and get chicken and waffles. No need to say thanks.Food: 5/5
Café Melissa is a nice and slightly upscale place to grab some tasty breakfast. We had the South of the Border Omelette and the Morgan's Wrap. Both were delicious and spiced up a little bit beyond the basics, adding an interesting twist of flavor to the usual breakfast items. They also offer adult breakfast beverages, and their coffee is notably good.
Really nice diner with great food. We both had the Carl's lean reuben. It had a good amount of shaved corned beef, saurkraut, and was topped with Thousand Island dressing. Will come back for sure.Food: 5/5
Great diner! Great prices and the food was even better. Pleasantly surprised how good everything was. My wife had biscuits and gravy and I had southern omelette. Both are extremely great. I would go again.Food: 5/5
