Food is great on some days and on others not so much. This place could do better in two key areas: (1) Service - there is always inconsistency and it’s almost like I’m begging the individuals to take my business on some days. At times I get a snappy attitude when picking my food which makes the encounter uncomfortable (2) Consistency - salsas and good taste different depending on the day. It would be great if consistency in the quality of the food was there everyday. On the good days it’s not bad, that’s the only reason it’s not a 1 Star.

I love Cafe Rio, but this location is terrible, every time we have come here (probably 7 times now, which was too many chances for here) the salad has been dripping wet and it ruins everything. Salad is also cut poorly, and tastes old. We are going to go to the Farmington location from now on, and we only live a mile from here... Below is the water we could get out of our salad without spilling it all. But there was more.

Love the food! Its always amazing. I had a poor experience here recently. I called to inquire about gluten free options. The girl I spoke to was well informed and offered me some options and I was pretty excited and decided to drive to the restaurant to get us some take out. When I got there I had a question and I went to find the same girl to clarify something. What happened next what totally bizarre. I was headed off at the pass by some older women, who I assume realized the legal implications of telling me that something was gluten free (a restaurant cannot tell you this as they can be sued if someone gets sick unless the item is legitimately gluten free) and in between the time I called, and the time I showed up, someone realized the error and they no longer wanted to provide me with information about the food.and its gluten free-ness. I asked to speak to the girl whom I spoke to on the phone and the lady refused to let me speak to her several times and I had to walk out and didn't get a tasty dinner. It was very sad.

Four stars because I love the food, especially the sweet pork salad, but the service quality varies a lot, and this location gets incredibly busy.

Great Cafe Rio franchise. Clean facility, great food. I highly suggest getting the Cafe Rio app, it is a must for college students. 😉
