Very delicious food! The quantity is great and everything is so fresh. The salsa and the lettuce feel like they're made fresh. All the meat also taste healthy and great. Definitely recommend.
Definitely my all-time favorite mexican food. At least what's available on the east coast. Their Red Chili Sauce is pretty authentic. And I love the shredded beef, So, so, SO tender. Food: 5/5
delicious taco salad with grilled chicken no tortilla very simple delicious! if you know what to order, this place is delicious. if you’re looking for a healthy option have a grilled chicken taco salad with no tortilla, no rice, no beans. The grilled* chicken is very flavorful. *be sure to order dressing on the side, to keep calories low use a tiny*** bit.
I don’t know how I feel about this place. I came here like three times pretty early on when we moved to Virginia just because it was recommended by a friend. I feel like it’s a hit and miss type of place like sometimes it was good and then other times it was not I like that they have lunch combos. I say if you’re reading this review and you’re on the fence of coming, just come and try it out for yourself. Employees have always been friendly. Portions have been generous. The restaurant has always looked cleaned. Those tortillas though are not true authentic hand made tortillas.
The staff was amazing!! Went in shortly before closing to get dinner for the family sorry and they were great!! They were friendly, patient, efficient, and on top of everything! The food was delicious!!Food: 5/5
I like cafe rio a lot but the last 2 times I went I had a bad experience, the previous time they served me very little food in my salad the plate was incomplete, this last time it was worse the lettuce in my salad was in bad shape They need to control that when something is spoiled they can't serve it to their customers anymore, it's a shame because I really liked ordering food from there.
They never disappoint! Never!! Had to go 3 days in a row...smh Report the reviews that say food is bland or the portions are small...those are bots
Everything about our visit was awful. There were three women behind the counter; only one was making the orders and she was doing so one at a time. The other two stodd there talking. We stood in line for over 15 minutes to order and get our food made, we were the only people in line. I was astounded at the cost of the food considering there were no sides of any sort. I spent almost $70 at what was essentially a fast food restaurant. For that price we could have gone to a sit-down restaurant and actually had quality food that was filling. The food itself was barely edible. It was soggy and very wet. It tasted only partially cooked and we all, spent the evening in the bathroom. The tables were disgusting. The only ones that were clean were the big long ones meant for large groups. We managed to find a single table, suitable for our 3~person family, that was barely dirty, tucked away in the corner. We will never, ever return to this place. I can't not recommend this place enough. 0 stars, if I could!!!
As a Utah native I’m a long time fan of cafe Rio, been eating it for over 15 years. Never had a problem with the customer service till I went to this location. The taller Hispanic feminine looking dude with black curly hair and piercings needs an attitude check and out of a customer service job asap. He was completely disrespectful the whole time. I asked the guy what’s the price difference between the large and small tortilla. Replies with “I don’t know”. Wouldn’t even look at me. What do you mean you don’t know? Go find out! “They’re the same price” he says because he’s to lazy to take 20 seconds and verify. Whatever. I go to check out. He rings me up and seems so bothered by the question “do you offer a military discount?” The dude let’s out a sigh, adjusts the price, and walks away from the register without saying a word. Thanks prick. I swipe my card and leave. I could’ve walked out of there without even paying because the guy couldn’t be bothered to make sure his customer was good to go before moving on to his next task. As much as I deserved this meal to be on the house after dealing with this guy I still paid because I support cafe Rio as a company. It sucks this location is the closest to my house. I hope I don’t see this dude next time I’m in. I’ll just start going to a further location if that.
Customer service here is highly disrespectful. I asked a simple question and was returned with attitude by the gentleman who claims he is the boss. The food used to be good now they are skimping on the meat and charges more. It not even worth coming here anymore!Food: 3/5
