This place is so damn good. I highly recommend this place. Besides the food the music, the bartender and the place passed the vibe check. I am absolutely in love with the food here. We had the egg rolls, chicken tenders and fries with the garlic parmsean wing platter. It was so damn good and at 1 am this was an absolute winner. And as a bonus the $5 shots were a welcomed plus. The Egg rolls are seasoned perfectly with a nice touch of spice. The tenders were perfectly seasoned and we loved the fries. This place is a must do.
So! I originally asked for wings, but then the bartender was like, you came to New Orleans to eat chicken wings?! I was like . So then I asked about their triple pork red beans, which he explains very delicately, pulled pork, pork meat balls and pork sausage and beans in a savory sauce with rice. I was taken back about it being in cup , then explained why it is, and let me tell ya!!!!!! Best little hole in the wall ever, eeeevvvvveeeerrrr go try it!!
Had this place on my radar for my NOLA visit since I was coming from Phoenix for the weekend. I ended up going twice. This food is sooooo good! It is a hidden gem and I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t packed! The eggrolls are HUGE and stuffed with meat. The red beans and rice was also very hearty and I couldn’t even finish my short ribs and fries the second night…I was stuffed! The food is delicious and all of the staff was so friendly and kind. Anytime I am in New Orleans, I will be stopping here. 5 stars for sure!
Food was delicious. The doors were closed at this address short staffed?, but The Garage next door was open and serving up the Cajun Dragon food and drinks, like fish bowls. Got the chicken & sausage gumbo and etouffee - both came with sides of bread. Super filling, and plenty of available tables at The Garage, including 2 outside though on a VERY high traffic street.
Google did not let us down! We hunted this spot down, ordered a hurricane, triple pork & red bean, and Cajun gumbo. The food comes in tall 24 oz coffee cups, ready to take with you wandering the streets or on a walking your. Mix the rice in and eat slowly because it is piping hot! Shout out to bartender Jesse who took care of us and shared some excellent levitating music with us / rest of bar. Next door is a huge garage converted to bar/performance space. Quite loud, good for big groups. But little bar next door is where you can have an actual chat about anything. Rejoice for you can get great food right off Bourbon street!!
This place is serving legit Cajun food one block off Bourbon. Don't let the name fool you and look next door to The Garage. Everything we had was 10 out of 10 and the go cup for gumbo is BRILLIANTFood: 5/5
Stopped in for dinner and had the three pork red beans and rice. First, the beer was ice cold but at $4 for a coors light, a bit steep. The red beans and rice was good but overly salty. The bread was delicious. Overall a solid 4 leaning towards a 5.
Solid offering for strong drinks with authentic cuisine. $6 shots. Good mixes. Cajun food served in a cup! Bit heavy on the salt but good. They have to ring food and drinks seperately. Favorite spot for the nearby strip club staff before/during/after their shift. CBD products available.
Super super tasty food didn't expect it to be that good. We had the Cajun Gumbo and the Spicy Beef Yaka mein. Definitely recommend it! The fish bowl is great and strong as well.
We got the boudin egg rolls and shrimp and crawfish etouffe and gumbo at 12:15am. This place is amazing. All the reviews you've heard are correct. Just fyi that they have two connecting rooms and available to pay for drinks or food in either. This was the first place we went to in New Orleans and it did not disappoint.
