We ordered a cake for a 50th Wedding Anniversary. The cake was designed perfectly for the occasion with delicious buttercream frosting and custom, handmade roses. It was a very delicious red velvet. Highly recommend for your special occasions!

Karl and his team did the cake and desserts for our wedding this past April 2022. From the moment we stepped foot into his shop for the first time, Karl made us feel like we were old friends. He was very generous with his samples and thorough in describing his style, numerous flavors, and various pastries, although his confections spoke for themselves. Everything we tasted was delicious, which made it a challenge to narrow our selection. We went with this three-tier cake kahlua and chocolate raspberry, and our desserts included a Henny chocolate mousse, lemon meringue, red velvet cupcakes, caramel apple chocolate cake, and white chocolate toffee pretzel cookies. These were all a hit at our wedding and our guests couldn't get enough! My wife, our parents, and I will definitely return to his shop now and then to fulfill the cravings that are sure to arise.

Karl made a two tiered cake for my sister's wedding shower. It. Was. EVERYTHING!!! There's something special about a beautiful, detailed cake that actually tastes good too! Cakes by Karl is a gem and I'm glad I found them. Excited to use this bakery for all future events!

Everything I had here was delicious! The Macaroons were so good, and so were the cupcakes and mini cakes we bought!

We ordered a cake from Karl for my mom’s birthday after seeing him on the Halloween Baking Competition. He was very friendly and took the time to sit with us to understand what we were looking for even though he seemed very busy. We asked for a bird theme, preferably in a nest with some flower detailing. We showed him some inspiration photos, but ultimately wanted him to have creative freedom. He was able to get the cake done on time for the party and it was beautiful! Definitely the nicest cake I have ever seen and the taste was great! Our guests loved it and so did my mom. Would recommend if you are looking for a creative and decorative cake for your event.

Cakes by Karl is fantastic! Karl creates the best tasting and absolutely unforgettable cakes. It has been a year since he did our son's graduation cake from CSU Maritime Academy in Vallejo, CA and we are all still talking about it. Karl was so helpful as we do not live in the area and we highly recommend his business to everyone needing a fantastic cake or dessert for that special occasion.

My first time there on Wednesday was a for sure guarantee that I will be a regular.  The store presentation are point, the desserts are so beautiful, looks as if you took a trip to France.  But honey.....The flavors, textures and quality are on point!!! I tried a mix of 5 items and each one was delish.  Even my New Orleans native Mommy agreed- and she's no easy pleaser

Karl is a genius pastry chef. He can just as easily do an imaginative kids' birthday cake, bulk deserts for some of the most well-known grocery stores in the Bay Area, or a beautifully-designed wedding cake. A true master!

Karl's Cakes are life!!!
