I have always had good food at Calhoun’s on the Hill. Today was the exception. Our Thanksgiving plans changed suddenly. We thought of Calhoun’s knowing the meal would be good. Pressed turkey roll, frozen peas that were hard, instant potatoes, cranberry sauce, and dressing was served. We also had pumpkin cheesecake that had set out too long with a soggy graham cracker crust. The highlight was the muffins! This is my 1st ever negative review. For the price this restaurant should be ashamed😝

My family has been going to Calhoun's for years, and time after time we have had excellent experiences.  Hope, our waiter, had a cheery and upbeat attitude through the entire dinner.  She kept a great eye on drinks and was knowledgeable of the specials.  Our appetizers (wings and mozzarella sticks) were HOT and certainly fresh.  The wings always have plenty of meat on them, and the Calhoun's sauce has a wonderful sweet BBQ flavor.  The ale steak was melt-in-your-mouth fantastic, and with the baked potato and grits as a side, is a very filling meal.

We will continue to bring our friends and family here...thanks Calhoun's Bearden!!!

Calhoun's on the river is one of my favorite places in Knoxville. An excellent variety of food. There's something for everyone. No matter what I choose I get the creamed spinach with it. There's no place more beautiful to enjoy a meal or drinks. I can smell the fresh air just thinking about it. After dinner take a scenic stroll along the waterfront for a memorable experience.

Johnathan at the Kingston pike location was fantastic! We stopped in this evening around 8 after both having long days at work, and we both agreed after dinner Johnthan was the best waiter either of us have ever had. Super nice guy!
