Bought umbrella with bright orange color which faded horribly in one summer season in the Northeast. Have 3 other umbrellas (different brand) that are 5 yrs and older with no fading color. Would not recommend.

We bought a California Umbrella from the Fortunoff Backyard Store in June 2013. We paid $425 for an 11 ft. umbrella. We had it 9 months (brought inside during the winter) when a small gust of wind blew it right over and bent the frame. They replaced it but told me to put in a wooden dowel inside for added strength. It is made of aluminum. A HUGE umbrella with a flimsy material. Really? They replaced the umbrella and I kept the bent on in the basement (thank God). Today I put the replaced umbrella up and realized the pulley for the cable broke. Again, cheap plastic parts. I call the company, they have no replacement parts for another 2 months. So we took apart the bent umbrella and used the pulley from that one and fixed it. Very poor for an umbrella that is only 4 years old and has only been used in the good weather.

Ordered the 75lb umbrella base and it was damaged upon arrival (scuffed, dented, paint chipped off, bottom plastic was warped) ...... box was fine though, this company referred me to Hayneedle for a return. They sell cheap, damaged Chinese products and do not stand behind their product...... I would not buy anything from here again..... And I will tell others to avoid this company as well.....

My experience with their product, their dealers & their factory customer service is dismal. The product broke while still in warranty. I thought they were professionals. That is not true. I'm sure they will respond to review & plead how I am unjust so it's an easy cure. If I have a working unit I will have nothing to complain about & you would have proved me wrong. I will publicly retract my review & agree I am being unjust. You will have my happy agreement, if not I will tell you that talk is cheap.
