Simply Jesus!!!
Calvary Chapel Foothills Vision and Mission
VISION
“Simply Jesus!!”
At Calvary Foothills, we believe that Jesus is God. Because of that, everything we do is simply about Jesus. Even though there are many philosophies and theories of how things should be done, Jesus should always be what we are all about. Our priority, loving Jesus and loving others with His love!!
In Jesus there is power, freedom, reconciliation, and salvation. Jesus should always be not only the center of our lives, but the center of the church.
MISSION
UP-REACH
We believe we are created to worship, therefore we commit to the worship of Jesus in our services. Worship by its very nature takes our eyes off of ourselves and our current issues and places our attention on the Lord, and as we do we grow in relationship with the Father in Christ. That is why Jesus commands His followers to be worshipers.
John 4:23–24 (NKJV)
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
IN-REACH
It is our mission to be transformed and equipped by the truth of God’s Word and to nurture and care for each other in a strong and vibrant Community of Christians. We believe you are best prepared for that by consentingly exposing yourself to the Words of Jesus, both personally as you read it, at church as we teach it, and by connecting with others in small community groups.
Ephesians 4:11–12 (NKJV)
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
OUT-REACH
It is our mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus -locally and worldwide- meeting physical, emotional, and most importantly spiritual needs by introducing as many people as we can to the person and the work of Jesus Christ!
John 3:16 (NKJV)
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
