The mission of Calvary Lutheran Church is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our priorities
For the sake of this mission, by the power of the Holy Spirit we will:

Live under the Bible’s authority.

I went to this church for Christmas Eve service and was taken aback at how the guitar player seemed to be the center focus. Didn't even feel like I had been to church.  The pastor was behind the altar in dim lighting and the guitar player was up front, under bright lights.  He stayed up front even when the pastor was doing the readings from the altar--very distracting.  Not the candlelight service I had imagined when I choose the evening time.  We got to sing some Christmas carols but overall it was a one man show.  So disappointing and not at all the reason for the season.

If you want a sociable-friendly, nice facilities Church which is pretty faithful to the basic tenants of the Gospel, consider it. Being Lutheran, the 500-years-old [mere] Reformation is a huge underpinning but also a seemingly stuck, dated impediment in these increasingly troubled times, The End times of His Story moving close? Read 2 Tim. 3.

If you are concerned that Churches are failing to impact the shallow, PC lefty politicization and pop culture devolution  and are unwilling to boldly speak about personal shortcomings of sin bondage, the reality of counter-intelligent evil and Satan, then look for a more complete and deep, full Gospel Church that strongly articulates personal salvation, transformation then The Great Commission. 

The PC left con or lie is the Christian faaaaaaar right which is actually merely religious-political Islamism. Distant ALLAH or ALL IN: to the cross and heart...of the mind? The need is less Church, Inc. centricity as our nation needs a macro movement: a renaissance or re-birth via vertical God-think personal transformation not horizontal, group-think political revolution. Power as knowledge defeats PC power as control in the war for souls. 

The need of these troubled times is the Protestant transformation [biblical, according to Romans 12:1-8, esp. 2-3]. The essence of the message of Christ is the cross for human transformation from worldly “wide-gate”  which is L              R  horizontal to far more heaven-to-hearts macro bold, faithful-and-true "narrow gate" vertical. 

I have been a member twice and left twice. The first time I was not growing and the second, this Church was unresponsive to the needed growth for movement. I could not even get a hearing before the Church Council,  the leaders rejecting and I never met them. Is that Christ-like or in sinful denial with habituated, same OLD, same OLD traditionalism? Would not diligent, due process consideration convict someone of gross error: the sin of commission or omission to grow upright? True love is nurturing and pruning, a decision and commitment to growth. 

Luther succeeded in his protest, with translation of the Bible into German.  The needed Transformation movement grossly failed in this Lutheran Church and so I am moving to translate the cross of Calvary via other means to help the Spirit impact troubled souls and our nation. Lord knows I tried with true insight.

Re rating: OK to good is not good enough for these times. Human excellent fails too. Christ desires to perfect, perfectly true  or vertical for effective outreach in the Great Commission. There is a spirit of cowardly impotent, enfeebled, building-bound, human-deeds churchianity in the fallen world. THE Church is the eternal body of Christ. God desires that HIS Church rely on HIS power to do what is impossible WITHOUT Him.

I thought very nice classy church. The funeral I attended was elegantly done.

Great for a family with young children.Very welcoming to new worshippers as it was my first time here great music.

I've been a member for 4 years and wished I had joined a long time ago.  A wonderful place for my wife and I.  We hope you'll check it out and make it your church home too.  Great preaching from the Bible.  Friendly people with so much for the family and adults too so we can grow our faith and serve others.
