Calvary United Methodist Church in a small Church located in the middle of a residential street in Kearny NJ. It was founded about 100 years ago by a group of Swedish people living in the area. The congregation is a small one but their faith & commitment to helping others & spreading the word of God is enormous. They take pride in providing the children
& people living in the Irvington projects with clothing,food & school supplies through a non-United Methodist church in Irvington. They also supply Stop & Shop gift cards to the Food Banks of several nearby towns because of their affiliation with Food for Friends ran by Stop & Shop in Lyndhurst NJ. They open the church doors to all and strive to be sure that whoever comes thru those doors feel they are part of their church family.
