If you're into climbing, you can't not stay at Camp 4. At night climbers from all over the world swap stories over campfires. For everyone else, camp 4 is a great option that puts you right in the center of the valley (avoiding big drives in and long waits in traffic out). And you can't beat $12/night. However, the place is crammed with people. If youre looking for a quiet Yosemite retreat or with a young family, this is not the place for you. Earplugs recommended.

Best (and really only) option to get a first come first serve campground in Yosemite Valley. Close quarters but it's worth it to be in the best location in the park. Get there early!

Best place to camp and meet people in Yosemite valley. People are social and all have great stories to share.

I was here from March 22 to April 12, and had the time of my life. What an amazing place to be for this time.  Being semi-forced to camp with strangers was the most epic part. There is connection and tribe experience possible here more than anywhere I've experienced
