Camp Matoaka is a private, girls, residential summer camp in Smithfield, Maine. Situated on over 150 acres of flat grassy playing fields, woodlands and lakefront, Matoaka's facility is top notch. More important than a great facility, Matoaka has a family type atmosphere and is often described as being fun, spirited, warm and caring.

My two daughters have been blessed during their time in Matoaka and I have no doubt they will continue to enjoy every summer they still have left. My oldest daughter has completed 2 summers and my youngest has just finished her first. Apart from learning skills and activities and meeting people from all over the world, they have learned a lot of independence and life skills. The counselors and staff are very attentive and caring, they create an atmosphere that allows for growth but yet is very safe and secure. It is noticeable that the owners love what they do and love the girls and that is why they do what they do. I would recommend to anyone looking for an amazing summer experience for their daughters to consider Camp Matoaka, you will not be disappointed.

I sent my daughter to Camp Matoaka this past summer. She had an incredible experience. The staff were very caring and dedicated to providing her with a rewarding and memorable time. The activities and facilities are top-notch. The directors are warm and caring, and from what my daughter tells me, the food is great! I highly recommend Matoaka for any parent who wants their daughter to become the best version of herself!

Camp Matoaka has got to be the best place on Earth. I have spent every summer there since 2010, and just keep coming back for more. I genuinely believe Camp has made me a better version of myself.  I never got to experience the camp as a child, but am fortunate enough to do it as a staff member. I watch these girls year after year grow, learn, explore. All getting to do so while in a safe and loving environment. I walked in as a stranger, but I left as family. The directors, the counselors, and the facilities are all top notch. The food is pretty great too! When you hear the term "Matoaka Magic", you may not get it at first. But I promise, it's very there and it is very real.

I have sent my daughter to camp Matoaka and she loved it. She made some great new friends which she is still in touch with. She is counting down the days to go back to camp. She loves the activities, especially the waterfront activities. They have staff that are from all over the world and they are so caring for the kids. My daughter loved her counselors.

I have had the great pleasure of working at Camp Matoaka for over 20 years. During that time I have witnessed many improvements in our facilities and programs. Jason and Leslie are fantastic people and put everything they have into giving campers and counselors the best summers year after year.
