This is the family's 51st year going to the camp grounds. So it's definitely been a tradition. Our whole family looks forward to the week we spend here. The Cabins get improvements every year. Verry well maintained. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Thank you Alex and the Campbell Family for a life time of memories. Look forward to the next 50 years.

Simple get away. Cheap boat rentals. Quiet lake side cabins.

This campground is quiet and out of the way. It was mostly clean and well-kept. There was a little store on site that sold canned food, ice cream, alcohol, and basic camping essentials (as well as fishing gear). I am deducting one star for the poor tent sites. You are asked to tent on a slope with no flat spots (we can see that the campground has earth moving equipment--why not use it?) The picnick tables in the tenting area were in abysmal condition, all rotting wood that is well into the process of falling apart. There is also no water source for tenters other than the bathroom faucets, which are not close by. Tenting is clearly an afterthought for this campground. I am deducting the second star because the older gentleman who checked us in, without the slightest prompt from us, decided to start talking politics. All we did was mention in pleasant conversation what a lovely state Vermont is, and he felt that this was provocation to share his opinion that the state was ruined by the liberals on the college campuses and would be better if it had more "Trump supporters." He also said he fondly remembers the "old Vermont," where presumably it was more socially acceptable to be openly racist, homophobic, xenophobic, and anti-Semitic. Call me old-fashioned, but I was raised not to talk about politics or religion with strangers, and especially with customers when you are working in the service industry. That's just poor manners.

I own a camp here. Great fishing in the summer, not open in the winter.
