We started out on our journey from Wisconsin and the slider awning over the slide out came open going down the road in our new Forester class c. We called Friday afternoon and told them and they said get it here first thing in the morning and we will take a look. We were greeted with many friendly employees and our tech had such a positive attitude and said he could get it fixed and get us on the road ASAP. He did! Thank you to Jaime Herren our service tech and the friendly staff. Sure made us feel welcome 👏👏👏

First, I need to clarify that Justin, our sales guy was great to work with and he was very patient with us (that is why the review is not one star).  He worked hard to get us a good price and I am overall happy with the camper we got.

However, the good stuff ended there.  I am very disappointed with the purchase process and the service department.  My purchase process complaint really is ultimately my fault for trusting them and not asking more questions.  We were trying to downsize and save money, but they ended up tacking on over $10,000 (on a $16,000 camper) in service plans and extra “stuff.”  I understand that their business is to make money, not protect the customer, but I voiced several times I was concerned with buying anything extra, but they kept pushing.  Again, ultimately my fault, but I do wish they would watch out for the customer and their wishes more.

Then when we got home, we figured out that the stabilizer jack wrench was missing and the propane tank they gave us was leaking.  I reported this right away by calling my sales guy who sent it to the service department.  I understand that these are no the biggest issues in the world, but if I had been a newbie to campers, it could have been a real problem.  I did not hear from anyone for a few days so I emailed Justin to see if he could help.  He willingly passed it along to the service department again.  I did get a call from their service department, but we have not sure how to handle the issue, so he (Bob) told me he would call back.  I never heard back from anyone.  I reached out to Justin twice and he passed it along, but I still never heard from anyone.

Over a month later now, and I’m still without a propane tank or stabilizer wrench.   I have since realized the crazy thing about of service charges that were tacked on to our financial agreement and so I asked for someone to call me regarding that and I have heard nothing.

I am not telling you to never go there, but be very cautious and don’t trust everything they say.  There is a chance that as soon as you leave, you will never be able to get someone to follow-up with you.  They have lost my future business and I can’t even trust their service department to work on the camper.  Camping is awesome…this Camping World is not.

We have received nothing but top notch service when visiting Camping World. From the moment we walked in the door 2+ years ago to start looking to purchase an RV.  Our recent service visit on 11/15 was outstanding.  The folks in the service department were quick and efficient.  Bob came out and apologized that it took so long, we didn't think it was all that long, and explained what they had done. Can't say enough nice things about these folks.  I do know that if we get another RV in the future to replace the one we have we won't go anywhere else.

Our sales person Darryl is very helpful, but it does end there. We purchased a camper and extended warranty from them. Getting a hold of anyone from the service dept is next to impossible,  I would have to make a trip in person to talk to anyone.  I called in August to get an appointment with service  and the soonest we could get in was middle of October.  I ended up selling my camper and in trying to cancel extended service warranty after two unanswered messages,  on the third call I got to speak to someone in finance dept, they made me come into store and sign paperwork instead of just letting me fax or email it to them. I was also told I would get an email the next morning letting me know how much refund is, still no email two days later and three phone messages promising I would get a return call that day.  They do not have good follow up or customer service.  I almost was going to buy a used camper from another CW location,  but I have now shied away. When I originally purchased this camper it took an unrealistic amount of time for title and other paperwork. Proceed with caution for service and purchases.

Not fond of the company values.  Only go here when I have a dire need for something, and it's not available anywhere else.  Staff is great though!
