Sad to see a few negative reviews. I stopped in to check out the local eats and was surprised to see a welcoming little Mexican restaurant right here in Edmond. I was greeted by a young gal and seated and then our server Christian came to take our order. The food was pretty good and the service was great. As a community we should start supporting our own people and not corporate restaurants especially during these times. Everything's a struggle but you still have hard working people trying to live that American Dream neverless. Support local people. Be more kind and thankful that we even have families working together! Love local business and even better when it's a family buusness. Thanks Christian for a good conversation and keep up the good works! Tell your Mom I'll make room for desert next time!
Stopped by here somehow for the the first time today. We both got tacos, carnitas and shrimp and wow were they good! Also got a large white queso which was delicious. Everything was super fresh and hot and would love to come again!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Food was good. We ate here on Cinco de Mayo, so it was packed and we had a 25 min wait to enter, the only available table was on the patio. Not my favorite because it was a bit chilly for my taste. Most Mexican restaurants around town, you get complimentary queso. Here, a large is around $6 I believe. And it wasn’t as large as I expected. It was tasty though! And they have great salsa! My daughter ordered a kid’s cheeseburger. The bottom bun came out charred black. We requested another. As she attempted to peel the burnt bun from her cheeseburger in preparation for the new one, she struggled and dropped the entire burger on the concrete. So as the new bun arrived, we then had to request another cheeseburger. It took quite awhile for her to get something to eat, but she enjoyed it. And they didn’t charge us for the replacement burger. I ordered Tacos Carnitas. The pork was good, but the tacos were lacking toppings. Both tacos were served with just meat on flour tortillas and their house pico & salsa on the side. It was good, but the salsa served with it was way too spicy for me, so it left just meat and pico only. The rice and beans were good portions. All delicious, but I ate more chips than anything to fill myself up. It was myself, my husband, my teen and daughter…husband had 2 beers, daughter had lemonade, and myself and son both waters. Total bill was approximately $80.
I didnt want to drive all the way to the south side of OKC food so i found this on google for near me mexican food places . I ordered a super burrito , the burrito wasnt “super” at all . It was regular size . It was good as far as the taste but it wasnt worth the price if that makes sense . I thought i would get more for what i paid . The resturant was clean and the staff was friendly .
It is a great place to eat. Best Mexico City Taco. I have eaten. My wife had an incredible tamale. The service was really good and the food came quickly and was hot, really hot! The owners son was our waiter and he was really good. I really like to spend my money with small business owners. I owned a small business for 16 years and know what it takes. Hard work and a lot of sweat. Well done!
Very clean restaurant. Salsa and queso was amazing. They bake the chips themselves. Best we've had. I had a bloody Mary, which was perfect. Food came out pretty quickly. Fajitas were so good!!!
Service was nice. Everything tasted storebought though. Especially my tamale sauce, it tasted canned. With $40-50 for two people one could definitely afford the flour, water and manpower to make edible tortillas. Edit: I came back after two years because a family member said to meet there, they’re trying something new. I felt a sense of dread but took it as an opportunity. Everything is now…decent. Complimentary salsa was alright, nothing special but the sauces that come with the meals are pretty good. I had a roasted tomatillo salsa, best thing on my plate—and a lady at my table sent back their enchiladas because it had salsa verde on it but that looked quite nice as well, good color and consistency. Tortillas still taste storebought, at least the corn ones for sure. It’s like they weren’t steamed in a tortillero or something. I had chorizo tacos this time and mind you in the two years since eating here I’ve learned a lot—Masa salt and water are so cheap, it’s kinda frustrating that these are $2.50 a pop when that’s how much a 2-lb bag of maseca costs. If you get these street tacos from here then pick something easy like al pastor. I personally consider flour tortillas an all-around downgrade but the fish tacos looked better. Maybe just avoid corn tortillas, and stick to safer meats like chicken too because as you can see there’s too much carbon in my chorizo for my taste. I’m adding a star after this second visit. You’ll like the drinks, the chips and salsa, really any dip like queso or guacamole too. I would probably get the nachos or chilaquiles if I ever came here again.
Jasmine was amazing! You get greeted as you walk in with a smile. Cantaritos is a small family owned restaurant. Let's start with the chips and salsa, The salsa has bold flavors that just exploded in your mouth and has the right amount of heat. The cheese dip was creamy and delicious. We ordered the chimichanga and taco salad. The rice was not dry and had great flavor. The beans actually had flavor to them and great texture. Now let's talk about the chimichanga, was not overly deep fried and bursting with flavor while the shredded chicken meltes in your mouth like butter. My taco salad bowl was fried to perfection and it was flaky. I got the ground beef taco salad and the meat had real in ingredients such as onions & bell peppers. Every thing I order had the best taste and can tell that they use fresh ingredients. They have great prices and offer military discount. Very family oriented & definitely recommend this place!!! Oh and they deliver.
Friendly staff and delicious food! We had the Alambre, Fajita Pescado, Shrimp Cocktail, and Camarones Cantaritos
The Street Tacos were fantastic, I especially recommend the chorizo taco. The tomatillo salsa was fantastic and rich with toasted flavors from the chilis that they use. Highly recommend.
