William H. Cantwell, II, Esquire
Bill is a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami. In 1999 he relocated to Brevard County and has been practicing there ever since. Bill's practice is devoted exclusively to civil litigation. He is Board Certified in Business Litigation and Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar. Bill has extensive trial experience in the State Courts of Florida and West Virginia as well as in the United States District Courts. He also has extensive experience in appellate matters and arbitrations.
Bill is experienced in representing general contractors, subcontractors, owners and banks in construction lien actions, construction defect claims, bond disputes, warranty issues and providing advice regarding construction contracts, subcontracts, change orders and statutory notice. Bill has also litigated numerous types of real estate disputes including right of ways, easements, ways of necessity, slander of title and other title questions and enforcement of covenants and restrictions.
Additionally, his practice includes litigation of employment disputes, restrictive covenants, discrimination claims (Title VII and otherwise,) intellectual property, trade secret litigation and general commercial and business disputes, as well as prelitigation counsel concerning dispute resolution.
Bill also has extensive litigation experience in the areas of zoning, municipal law, election law and land use. His trial experience extends to several states across the country and he has litigated business disputes ranging from straightforward breach of contract claims to complex disputes alleging misappropriation of trade secrets such as computer source and object code.
Mitchell S. Goldman, Esquire
Mitchell is a native Floridian, born in Miami and raised in Melbourne Beach. He has been practicing law in Brevard County since 1984.
He is experienced in representing lenders and borrowers in complex commercial real estate and business transactions, including properly documenting loans and business sales, and clearing title matters. Mr. Goldman also assists clients with general business matters such as forming new business entities and shareholder agreements.
Mitchell has extensive litigation experience in the areas of commercial and residential foreclosures and evictions.
Jay R. Thakkar, Esquire
Jay is a native Floridian, graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He continued his studies at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2010. During his tenure at the University of Florida, Jay was the co-founder of the Mock Trial Team affiliated with the Florida Pre-Legal Honor Society. While in law school, Jay clerked for the Florida Student Legal Services where he advised students on a variety of legal issues and became a teaching assistant for Trial Practice.
He is an experienced trial lawyer, and represents lenders and borrowers in commercial and residential real estate, business transactions, and other civil litigation matters. Jay also handles a variety of criminal defense cases, including driving under the influence, drug possession, battery and many other criminal matters.
