This is by far the best sip n paint studio in the Denver Metro Area. Have done multiple classes with a different instructor each time and each one brought their own pizzazz to the class.

Very fun activity. Elyse was an awesome instructor, it was like a comedy show and painting lesson in one!

The owners are mistreating their employees by not paying them. I am typing this up because I think people need to be aware of this business in Denver, CO. It is called Canvas and Cocktails, they own two locations. My daughter is an extremely dedicated worker and got a job at the age of 14. When she moved to Denver to go to school she immediately got a job on campus, (a job that is typically filled with grad students). She then had a few health issues arise and ended up with a hospital bill. She started working a 2nd job to help pay bills at Canvas and Cocktails in Denver. She loved working there (despite poor communication regarding the schedule) but one big problem: they have NEVER paid her! She started working there in Feb, 2017 and HAS NEVER BEEN PAID. After a few weeks and no paycheck, she asked them what was up, they acted like it was a mistake and told her she needed to fill out some forms. She filled out the forms and turned them in. Then with each pay period that she wasn't paid, she asked her manager and the owner's husband (who does payroll) where her check is. Each time, she was promised she would get paid the next pay period. After months of no checks and having her multiple requests ignored completely, she finally told them she would not be available to work anymore until she gets paid. The owner's husband responded by sending her an long email blaming her for her "tone" in the text, with still no explanation as to why she hasn't been paid. Here is a quote from the email: "I want you to understand that employment with Canvas and Cocktails is a privilege, not an entitlement nor a favor to us. You are a solid team member, and I do appreciate the work ethic and commitment you've made to the job thus far, but I want you to take a day or two and consider the tone and tact of your text." I helped her write the text, it was polite and there was nothing wrong with it, in ANY way. Regardless of her "tone" she has a RIGHT to be upset for not getting paid. She was not provided with any explanation nor an apology but at the close of the email was told if she was going to "stand by your position" she was fired. She was basically fired for asking for her paychecks! Not only is this illegal but it is demeaning. The email also said called her "young and inexperienced" and was a lecture about how she shouldn't have discussed this via text. This man was SO offended at being contacted via text, but has ONLY communicated with her via text. He then responded to her email response with another text telling her that she "needs to learn from this" and not set ultimatums for him. Just to make this clear: her "position" is that she needs to get paid for working there and her "ultimatum" was that she needs to get paid for working there. The man's name is Charles, she sent him back an email which was very polite and just asked to address the problem (of no payment) and received more demeaning text messages. I would be cautious about supporting this business or working there. She loves working there and the owner herself is really great, this has all come as a huge shock to her to be treated this way. #misogyny Please feel free to share: UPDATE: So the owner appears unaware of what her husband wrote and since I posted this, she is telling people that its my daughter's fault for not turning in paperwork. (sorry it doesn't take 6-8 weeks to pay AFTER paperwork has been turned in) My daughter has asked for an in-person meeting tomorrow and they have not responded to her. The owner has also claimed to people that my daughter has been paid and all is good. Not true! My daughter was promised her paychecks this weekend, when she went to get it, she did indeed receive a check (her first one!) but it was only payment for the past week (or two weeks?) of work and not for any back pay. When she inquired as to why she didn't get any of her back pay she was provided with no explanation and was just told to wait until the
