Cap Hansen's Tavern
"Cap’s has been a continuously run Bellingham watering hole for over 100 years. We remove the “ass” from “classic” cocktails. No pretentious suspender wearing, wax tip mustachioed mixologist will shake your drink with a nauseating over exaggerated motion while dramatically looking away. No siree ma’am! Just delicious honest cheap drinks made with a little love here and there. Free popcorn, a jukebox and an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. Warm and weird. Just like our staff!"

Awesome atmosphere great drinks. Ask for a "PBF" you'll thank me later. BUT floor by the bathroom is very sticky. Had been everytime ive gone. You guys have a mop just give it a good moppin.
Such a fun and cozy space, loving the changes since Aaron took over! Top notch service, fun decor, and a great vibe; there's a reason Cap's remains a popular locals' favorite!
Is Cap's the best bar in Bellingham? No. Is it the biggest or most inviting? Definitely not. But it is for sure the coolest bar in Bellingham. Whether you come for the PBF'S or a PBR, this place will always be there to please your eyes. The atmosphere is absurd and the artwork is immaculate. One day majestic orangutans wearing fruit hats adorn the walls only to be replaced later by regal chimpanzees appraising a glass of fine wine. The bar itself is dominated by vintage beer paraphernalia. The red/black checkered floors and red ambient lighting feels like something out of a scene from a David Lynch project. A black bench stretches the length of the bar with small round tables dispersed every few feet. There is one major flaw with the bar. It can not accommodate the crowd prone to bar crawling on a Bellingham weekend. When the bench and bar are filled to CAPacity, this place is best to be avoided. But if you find yourself downtown during the week and looking for a drink, it would be a mistake to not go to Cap Hansen's Tavern
Very cool place! Great decor, great folks, great drinks! So much cool atmosphere! Great art! Make sure you walk around and see all the art.
Bartenders are nice enough but the bouncers like the guy with exceptionally aggressive guy with a head tattoo and gauges can and will heckle you on the way in and out for the power trip. Definitely have never felt welcome in the slightest.
Worst bar I've been to in Bellingham. The servers have a god complex and absolutely no grace in their confrontation. I would recommend every other place that serves alcohol above this place. It is small, loud, and dingy. If I could give zero stars I would.
This place is the best!! The End.
The drink are cheap, but strong. The bartenders know how to create awesome drinks that look as good as it taste!
B'ham's classiest dive. The PBF came with a sticker that made me feel pride in myself like no scout badge ever could. Next time, I intend to ask the bear to be my dad.
Classic hole in the wall joint. A bit of Bellingham history. Grab a PBF and bask in the low light glow of the Schlitz lamps.
