They have great Hair Stylists! Everyone is very professional, and welcoming to the salon! Its comfortable and classy at the same time:3 has chill vibes to the Salon overall!! They did the best dry haircut on my curly course hair that I've ever gotten

Don't waste your time. Shai is a dick that lovvvvvves fame and attention. That's all he's good for. That and pushing Deva Curl products. His scheduling is obnoxious. You waste time waiting to see him (months sometimes, if not just for a consultation). This is simply to seem busy. Only thing he's ever busy doing is touting his Instafame - posting, talking about followers, comments, complaining, you name it. And honestly, the pics he posts aren't even all his work, just work done in his salon by more competent stylists. General consensus: He'll shame you for whatever you have done/are doing/using on your hair. No matter what. It could be the healthiest hair where you only use organic products, and he'll still berate you for not using Deva products. All of this plus, he's obviously terrible at customer service. He will be the rudest serviceman you've ever endured all because you don't do or like something he does. He ignores all advice and does whatever he wants. If you dare to complain, he'll yell. Nothing's ever his fault. (His poor wife.) Oh. And when dealing with black customers another general consensus is that he has no idea how to do hair tighter than a 3C curl. Don't believe them? Check his Instagram. Hard to find any tight curls huh? Anyway. Don't waste your money or time in traffic on the 101, flying in from out of town, etc. He's definitely not worth it. He's an immature little stump of a man. P.S. Though, everyone else in his salon might not echo every bad trait their salon owner has, they're still a hit-or-miss. Notice the positive reviews on both here and Yelp mostly refer to other stylists and the negative, Shai.

They know how to treat your hair right... moisturizing treatments and hair products without a whole lot of chemicals. Great to learn how to bring out the curl!

Great haircuts. Friendly staff. Only downside is unless you ask about how to style and keep your hair it's not really explained to you. However you may keep in touch with staff via phone/email or social media to ask questions if needed.

Horrible experience, guy butchered my hair and gave me a 70's shag. I asked for a trim and just to clean up the layers. Owner treated me condescendingly, insultingly, kept me waiting, didn't call back. I only pursued a refund (a lousy $100.) more on principle than a hundred dollars. My regular stylist was out of town and this is the only reason I went to this place, from the reviews online and their website I never would have believed it would turn into more money to get it to at least look presentable, and it's going to be months to grow out, and this owner just treated me in a way that if he were a professional, he would have six weeks ago given the refund and apologized. I'm not hard up for a hundred, but obviously they are. He says he's been doing hair for twenty years. Yeah, okay, and sometimes things go wrong like this stylist on this day on my hair. Own up to it and be a responsible, decent human being, or at least a good business man. Maybe they are usually good, they probably are. But know this for certain, I know for a fact that at least once they messed up big time. Worse than that is how he handled it. Why don't I go back to the place that messed up my hair and see if what little I have left they can "fix". Yeah, it'll be fixed, after it grows out for six months. So, if you go, know about this experience I had. If you want to make it out to be just an angry customer, you are right and you would be too. I never swear and this man with his high horse snobby attitude really got my blood boiling.
