Our food and service were both very good. My wife had the 10oz Sirloin steak and it was tender and flavorful. I had a steak salad that was excellent.

Capital Ale Hose in Midlothian is one of my favorite restaurants in RVA. Of course the beer menu is expansive, but I always come back because of the comforting and satisfying food! I lived in Germany for 5 years and there are menu items that remind me of my time there. (Everyone should get the pretzel)! They also make great cocktails, and the dessert selection is always an excellent treat. I've also hosted a party here... The service is always exceptional. (I don't think I've ever turned down an invitation to Cap Ale)

Tasty food, lots of different beers. Got the smokehouse burger and a pretzel, and it was beyond filling, which was my primary concern. Menu choices are interesting and satisfying.

Decent restaurant, very large selections of beer and spirits. Nice atmosphere with outdoor steating. Staff was good, friendly and knowledgable. It was $3 burgers the night I went. The burgers were not great at all, too well done, but my expectations were not high for $3 burgers, it seemed like their leftovers. A friend got a spinach brie salad. It was okay, too strong on the balsamic and not enough brie. Overall, it was decent, I would go again and try something else, but nothing to write home about.

Awesome craft beer selection. $3 burgers on Mondays. Add bacon and cheese to bring it to $5. The better servers have great beverage recommendations.
